Puh – what a day. So busy at work – the day just flew by. One more to go. Probably even more busy than today.
Made chicken skewers with rice for me and the boys. Hubby is away on business today – his alarm went off at 04.45 this morning. Puh. I managed to go back to sleep again, great. I expect him back home later on this evening – I might already be asleep.
Salad
Midweek and my short day. Strolled over to Åhléns for a lunch on my way to the subway. One shrimp salad later I was ready to go home. Nice with a quiet lunch on my own – even though my lunch yesterday was way more fun when I met up with an old friend whom I haven’t seen since April.
Started to pack my things for our trip – nice to be organized. Going to be on my own at work the next couple of days so I thought one less thing to fix if it is already taken cared of.
Pysseldags
Äntligen fick vi ihop en kväll när vi kunde ge A sin födelsedagspresent – en pralinkurs på lokala företaget “Mitt söta skafferi”!
Tre härliga timmar tillsammans när vi har lagat chokladpraliner med fyra smaker (ingefära / kanel / saffran / vanilj), lakritstryfflar och chokladtryfflar.
Så mycket gott och så mycket vi har lärt oss om temperering av choklad och olika tekniker. Och framför allt – en kväll att umgås och göra någonting kreativt ihop samt varsin goodie-bag att ta med hem med våra egna gjorda praliner!
Grilled sandwiches
New week with new challenges. Made myself a treat when I got home – grilled sandwiches with creamed mushrooms. Haven’t had that in ages. Mmm.
Hubby has a work-thing tonight so it’s just me and the boys at home. Going to make some bolognese for dinner I think.
A real fall day – foggy and rainy. But still quite warm and no snow in sight. I really hope it will stay away until we get back from our trip. Four more work-days to go. But who’s counting?
Last game
Today it was the last game of the soccer season. I walked over to my parents to watch it together on TV since it was an away game. And we won 2-0. Yeah!
We managed to reach the third place this year – best score in a long time. This means we get to play in Europe next season – the Europe Conference League qualifications. The winner plays in the Champions League qualifications. Congrats to Häcken!
Made chicken with rice for dinner and now we’re watching some TV before it is time to hug our pillows. The weekend has been great but went by too fast as usually.
Tommy
A fun Saturday with quality family time planned. Managed to sleep in until 07.30 .. not bad!
A rainy day so no walk today. Instead we got ready in the afternoon to catch the same bus as my parents and sis & brother-in-law to go into town together.
First we went to a Greek restaurant we all enjoy for a nice dinner. After dinner we went to Göta Lejon for a concert with Tommy Körberg. And wow – the man has still got it! He sang really really well and didn’t make anyone disappointed.
So glad we got to do this together – and excellent choice of concert, mom! Thank you!
Cappuccino
Short day today since tomorrow is All Saint’s day. After work I stopped at Liljeholmen for a quick lunch and a coffee. Their napkins had a fun print on them – “you can’t buy happiness but you can buy a cake and that’s kind of the same thing” – LOL.
Made a nice dinner for my family and now we have a fun weekend ahead. Going to take my parents out tomorrow together with my sis and our hubbies for a delayed birthday present. But tonight I’m just going to watch some tv and have a quiet night home.
Xmas decorations
Strange day. Hardly anyone at work since it is fall break and short day tomorrow. So a great day to catch up on stuff that hasn’t been completed for various reasons.
It was really cold this morning with only 2C outside. Brrrr. It’s been a lovely day otherwise. And today they put up the Xmas-decorations on our street and turned the lights on. I think they just tested them to see they all lit up and will turn them on in a few weeks.
Last day for my youngest doing his practical work training. 10 weeks completed. Time flies. Now he needs a new placement for next semester. Fingers crossed it will be sorted.
Doves
Midweek and short day. I am so very tired right now – decided to stay and have lunch with my colleagues to try and get some new energy before I went home. Strolled thru the city but didn’t find anything in particular. Took this photo at Sergels Torg – the doves were all over.
Picked up some pork filet on my way home. Great when I get home early so I can prepare something nice for my boys. But, first a coffee and some corner time before I get busy with the dinner.
November
November 1st. And still quite warm outside. Fingers crossed it will last another couple of weeks – at least until we get back from visiting our summer house. I’m going down there with my parents next weekend (not this weekend) for some peace and quiet. Can’t wait.
Now we have a couple of dark weeks before it is time to take out the Advent candle lights. Then it will be a bit brighter again. Looks like I can take some time off over the holidays too. Nice. I need a proper break. Something to look forward to! Hubby will be off for three weeks. Lucky him.
