Midweek again. A grey start of the day but quite warm compared the the previous days. Stayed and had lunch at the office before I went back home – my colleague picked up a couple of tuna-sandwiches that we really like.
Been a busy bee this afternoon doing laundry and also cooked a boeuf bourguignon which more or less cooked itself all afternoon. Love a good beef casserole with veggies and lots of onions of different sorts. Served with boiled potatoes. The boys doesn’t share my love for this kind of food so I made them something else. Everybody happy.
Lunch date
Today I saw an old friend for lunch. We went over to Wayne’s and enjoyed their pie of the day which today was a spinach/feta cheese one. Served with a dressed sallad. Mmm. We had a great chat and catch-up.
Made pork filet tonight served with rice and a sweet&sour sauce.
Now a cup of tea and catching up on the news with all the terrible things that happens around us and in the world.
Dinner with friends
Monday again and short day for me. Could enjoy an afternoon to myself which was very nice. Strolled a bit thru the city in the lovely weather before I went home. It’s getting quite cold now but sunny.
When my hubby had finished work we got ready to go into town to meet up with this lovely family. We were invited to their wedding last summer and we then gave them a dinner in Stockholm as a wedding gift. Now we finally could make it happen!
Great to see them and catch up a bit with everything that has happened – and lovely to see their little adorable baby boy too!
Now some corner time before it is time to hug our pillows.
Family time
Sunday already. Where does time fly? We were invited over to my parents for lunch today together with my sis w/ her family. We grilled hotdogs outside – mm. Felt like during the pandemic again when we used to do that since we couldn’t meet indoors back then.
My parents needed some help with a few things so we spent a few hours there getting it done. Glad we could help!
Twenty eight
A bit tired today since it got rather late last night but we have been busy bees all morning anyhow. Hubby went to pick up the trail and then all four of us help fill it with all the clippings from the hedge and also things like donation of clothes, shoes, towels along with electronic waste and such. Great to do a good clear-out!
After lunch we went to get groceries and tonight we picked up some pizza since M is not at home for dinner. Tonight we have enjoyed some time in the spa and now we are treating us to some nice cheeses and a glass of fizz to celebrate our 28th anniversary as married. Congratulations to us!
Live in concert
A great ending of a long week. After work I went back home to get ready for a special night with my hubby. We had booked a table at Nalen Restaurant and after dinner we had tickets for the concert next door at Nalen.
The food was great but quite busy in the restaurant so we didn’t have time for afters or coffee. But a starter and main which both were delicious so we really have no complaints.
The concert started with a pre-concert band called Svart Ridå – never heard of them but they were not bad. I’m going to check them out on Spotify to see what I think of them with recorded music.
Glasvegas delivered and the crowd went crazy. A sold-out arena with a lot of fans singing along and enjoying the music. James had some problems with his voice but for the most part it didn’t show. As the concert went by he sang better and better and the finale was amazing with one of my favorites – “Lots sometimes” – to end a great evening!
Rosa bandet
The street where my office is have been decorated with pink ribbons since it is the month of raising money for breast cancer research. Important to raise lots of money for this cause. I haven’t bought a pink ribbon yet this year but I will as soon as I can. Have you bought one yet?
Long day today and I had some time on my hands this afternoon so I took two online courses. One regarding cyber security and the other one about cookie policies. I especially found the second one quite interesting.
Pyssel hos S – 4 okt
Pysseldags – vi fick skjuta fram september-pysslet några veckor så alla kunde vara med. Men nu så! S bjöd på en fantastiskt god moussaka med potatis o köttfärs, serverad med broccoli och sallad samt hembakat bröd. Mmm. Inte dumt!
Sen blev det dags att gnugga geni-knölarna och försöka oss på en mordgåta som vi hade beställt från HiddenReality.se. “Författarens öde” hette gåtan vi valt och innehöll en samling ledtrådar bestående av bakgrundsinformation, misstänkta, polisförhör och bevismaterial. Sen var det bara att gnugga geniknölarna och klura. 3 timmar senare hade vi bestämt oss för vem vi trodde var den skyldige och vi hade rätt! Sista kuvertet innehöll facit och en förklaring till alla ledtrådar.
En kul kväll med mycket diskussioner och tankar. Tack för idag!
Former colleague
Back to work again after a lovely time off. A rainy day with increasing rainfall as the day went by.
A former colleague came for lunch today. So nice to see her again! She took a time off a few years back to try employment elsewhere and was happy with her new workplace and stayed on. She is truly missed and was a very well liked colleague. Good for her that things worked out for the better.
Hubby had dinner ready when I came home tonight. Chicken with rice. Mmm. Now we are watching another episode of “McDonald and Dodds” we have recorded. Love British series.
Last morning swim
A couple of fighting cats woke me up around 7 this morning, lol. So I did my Spanish lesson before our morning swim since I was already awake.
I am so very grateful that we have been able to spend a long weekend together – proper quality time! And that the pier was still there and made it possible for us to take a morning dip in the ocean was such a great bonus! Perfect way to start the day!
After breakfast we started our journey back to the real world again (or did we leave the real world down there?) and arrived about 7 hrs later with no problems along the way. My dad and I drove half the way each.
Made dinner to my family and now we have enjoyed some time in the spa. Perfect ending of my long weekend off.
