This morning it was a bit challenging to get into the ocean with a lot of waves. As the day went by the wind increased and in the afternoon it was up to about 16m/s (36m/h) and we took down the Öland-flag so it wouldn’t break in the hard wind.

We took a nice stroll after breakfast but not along the coast due to the wind. After lunch we decided to go for a drive and look at some of the exhibition they have this harvest festival weekend. A lot of ceramics, artwork and local produce of honey, veggies and such to enjoy. We didn’t buy anything but it was a nice tour.

Now some relax-time indoors before it is time to start dinner.

Started today with a dip in the ocean and about the same degrees as yesterday. 

After breakfast we drove into Borgholm to look at the harvest festival. A lot of local producers sold their crop and products. Fun to stroll around and taste locally produced cheese, sausage etc. We bought a few things to bring with us back home again. We stayed and had “kroppkakor” for lunch in town before we left to drive back home again for afternoon coffee. 

A grey cloudy day and not as nice as yesterday afternoon. The prognosis promises better weather the rest of the weekend. Friday steak for dinner tonight with a glas of red and some cheese for afters. 

Slept really well last night and woke up to a very foggy morning. But, we went down for our morning dip in the ocean and it was lovely! 15C in the ocean. Not bad. Great tradition to start the day this way!

As the day went by it cleared up and the sun came out. We did some laundry and worked in the garden. Me and dad mowed the lawn that had grown long since our last visit. Treated ourselves to a “smörgåstårta” for lunch .. mmm.. Cod with rice for dinner later on.

My second cousin stopped by for a quick chat and we could sit outside in the sunshine for a bit. A lovely first day and I’m sure I’m going to sleep well tonight too. Tired after hard work and hours outside.

Got up the same time as usually this morning but instead of going to work my parents picked me up and we have spent the day driving down to our paradise for some time off and regaining energy.

We stopped in Borgholm for groceries and now we have unpacked and enjoyed dinner together – pyttipanna with fried eggs. Mmm.

Said hello to my uncle and chatted for a bit. No sunset tonight but a pink sky Now some corner time before it is time to hug our pillows.

A very hectic day at the office but we managed to complete everything we had to get done. Puh. Great to not have a lot of stuff waiting for my return next week. 

Met up with my niece after work for a dinner date at Posto by Hötorget. A pasta place we wanted to try out and we were both happy with our choices. They had a sparkling non-alcoholic lemonade as a signature drink so we tried that with the food and it was really nice. After dinner we strolled back to the subway and wandered thru a few stores on the way. We didn’t buy anything but we had a good chat and time together. Let’s do it again soon! 

When I got back from work today I cooked myself an old “Andersson-classic”. Mmm.. Perfect easy-made comfort food.

Had to turn on my computer this afternoon and do some work but it was quickly fixed. Hopefully that was it.

Going to pack my bag so I’m ready to go down to our paradise on Wednesday with my parents. Tomorrow I work a full day and have a dinner date with my niece after work, so I thought it was a good idea to get it done today instead.

Sunday already. We managed to sleep in a bit. Hubby went for a run before lunch and when he got back we grilled some hotdogs for lunch. 

This afternoon we met up with my sis, J & K to watch a movie together – Oppenheimer. It was quite interesting and the three hours went by with no problem. A ton of great actors – the person casting the movie did good. 

Now some corner time watching the last episodes of the series “The Tower” on HBO. Love British criminal stories. 

Our ladies lost the game last night after a last minute penalty shot. Bummer. Oh well. 

After lunch me and hubby took a walk over to Herrängens Gård to see if we could get a coffee but they were about to close due to a wedding venue. But, we had nice stroll by the lake which was like a mirror. 

Made minute steak for dinner with oven baked potatoes and veggies. Mmm. Bought some strawberries this morning that we will treat ourselves tonight along with some ice cream. Not bad. Managed to regain some energy today, I think. 

Finally Friday. A long week for some reason. Had a Libanese lunch today from Mezefabriken. Chicken with bulgur and different sauces – yum. 

Strolled thru the city after work and enjoyed having the weekend ahead and a couple of days to the family. Passed this area of town going to the subway – behind the PK-huset. 

Picked up a couple of steaks for the boys for dinner and made cod for me and my hubby served with stewed spinach. Now we are cheering on our ladies playing in the Nations League to get a step closer to qualify for the olympics next year. Spain is our opponent so a difficult game to say the least. Go Sweden! 

Scary start of the morning with an explosion outside a terrace-house about 1k from where we live. Police helicopters kept me awake and apparently both the bombteam and search dogs were there to examine the area. Hua. No-one was injured or hurt so that was good at least.

We had a great lunch and picked up some chicken-cashew with rise and veggies – yum! Haven’t had that in a while.

Made pasta with meatballs for the family today. Haven’t had that either in a while. Nice with something simple on a work-night.

A very long quite busy day has finally come to an end.
