Friday again

Oh I’m so happy how the candles turned out yesterday. I would love to do it again soon!image

Friday arrived quickly this week. My family has been through a lot lately and we are all tired and out of energy. So – lovely to have a whole weekend ahead. With fun outdoor things planned (= D-vitamins!)

I had my nails polished again today – some important me-time for hardly any money squeezed into my lunch hour. I am a bit vain, I know. But finally my nails look pretty good and what woman doesn’t want to have nails to be proud of?

Midweek

It is getting so very dark in the mornings and harder and harder to wakimagee up. The sun has managed to get up by the time we leave home but it won’t be for much longer. I need to spend more time outside and get all the extra sun-vitamins I can get to last me through the winter. We all do.

My orchids are in full bloom right now and brightens up the windows. Makes me smile!

Cloudy day

imageAfter work I took the commuter train and it made a stop for a couple of minutes on one of the bridges which gave me an opportunity to take this photo of our City Hall with the three golden crowns on top. I have only been in there a couple of times – at my cousins wedding for once and a few other times showing visiting friends around.

Tonight I served my family homemade burgers with fries. Now the candles are lit and some coffee to enjoy. Chers!

Here we go

imageYesterday afternoon I took an hour walk around the lake and it was just beautiful. I love how it turns into a mirror and reflects the clouds.

Another soccer game tonight in the qualifying towards the European championships. We are facing Moldavia and we need to win. But we also need Russia to loose their game towards Montenegro (not going to happen).  If those two things occur we have qualified. If not, I think there is still a slim chance we will make it.

Sky is the limit

Today we decided to do something we haven’t done before – weimage went on a ride with the SkyView – an elevator on the outside of the Ericsson Globe. Since it was such a beautiful day it was just perfect for this activity.

The tour only took like 20 min and started with a short movie about the area and the ride. Information, facts and some safety regulations. Interesting!

I amimage pretty scared of heights but I was actually fine in this ball of glas. The view was spectacular – you could see the whole city from above and the surroundings south from the city too. This was just the perfect experience and I am sure I will go there again!

Garden work

Saturday morning and the garden is covered with frost. It imageis so pretty. And cold. Time to get ready and go out there. We have rented a trailer for the day to get rid of all the branches and
sticks from the hedge and trees that my husband has cut the last couple of weekends. The pile is quite impressive but will ruin the grass if we leave it over the winter.

Oh – and we won the soccer game last night. Next challenge on Monday. Need to win that one too.

Fredagsmys-time

Friday came this week too. I thought I deserved a coffee on my way to work so I picked up one from Wayne’s. Trying to decide whichimage coffee place that is my favorite – their coffees are all quite different. Just a coffee to-go I probably prefer Wayne’s or Starbucks. But to sit down for a bit with breakfast or lunch I think my favorite is EspressoHouse. I love the way they have decorated all their shops with old furniture which gives it a homie feeling. Then we have a whole bunch of other places but these three are the ones I usually go to.

Time to get tucked in my corner and enjoy some fredagsmys – both soccer and Idol to choose between. Will probably jump in-between the two. Have a great weekend everyone!

Lunch date

Thursday and lunch date with my BFF – and what better place imageto meet than at the pizza place? And look – I have veggies on the plate too! And drank soda water.

Took a walk back from the subway since I missed the bus.. some exercise won’t kill me, I guess.

Decided to stop by the newly opened grocery store across the street from our house and I was happily surprised to see that we now have a fully working store with everything we need. Fresh and clean with nice staff and a fun selection of both already-made-food to fresh meat. Wow. What a difference!

Oct 7th

image20 years ago today me and my hubby said “I do” in Enskede Kyrka. Can’t believe it’s been that long – but looking at our boys it is easier to understand. They are not kids anymore – one is already an adult and the other one not far behind. image

Me and my mom had a great afternoon catching up. They just came back from a vacation week to Albania – a very interesting country to visit, I’m sure. Looking forward to seeing the photos!

My husband surprised me with a fantastic bouquet of flowers. In return he got a box of handmade chocolates.

Frost

This morning it was below 0C (32F) for the first time this fall. imageThe windows on the car were all covered with ice. The sky was beautiful and the trees have started to absolutely glow with gorgeous colors. My favorite time of year.

Long day at work and quite a busy day today. Exhausted and tucked in my corner for a bit before it is time to hug the pillow.
