Valborgsmässoafton

Time for the yearly bonfire – a lovely sunny day but still quite chilly. My parents and sister w/ family (except her youngest who has been competing in team gymnastics down in Halmstad this weekend – they made it to the finale where they ended up in 9th place. Yeah!) came over for dinner.

We walked over to look at the fire and listened to a choir singing traditional spring-songs. There was a lot of people there, as usually. When we got back home we had some coffee and a treat of ice-cream and berries. Mmm. Happy Valborg everyone!

New light ?

Today we went into town for some errands – my youngest took a test (new attempt next weekend.. ) while me and Peter went to buy this new kitchen lamp. We are happy about how it turned out but it is a lot brighter than our last one so we might switch to lamps with a lower watt.

When we got home we just dropped F off and then Peter and I went to pick up a present, buy a new battery for the moped and then grocery shopping. Have a great Saturday eve everyone!

Weekend here I come

An extremely busy last day of the week. And now we have a 3-day weekend to enjoy. Lovely. And the latest weather-prognosis is actually positive. The sun has been shining all day too. And I actually heard birds singing this morning. Life is not so bad!

Wish you all an amazing Friday eve and a great weekend with your near and dear ones!

Movie time

Thursday and movie-night! I went with a friend from work – we have been to the movies a couple of times and so far we have watched true-story-movies every time. This was no exception. “Hidden Figures” was a very good movie and we both enjoyed it a lot. If you haven’t seen it, I can really recommend it!

It’s been a lovely day today – not so cold and quite sunny. When we left the movie theatre at 8.30 PM it was still light out, but it got dark pretty quickly on my way home. Now a cup of tea before it’s time to go to bed.

Dinner treat

Today we have had all sorts of weather. Really. Sunshine. Hail. Snow. Rain. You name it.

I picked up a few treats on my way home today. My parents-in-law came over for a delayed birthday-dinner since I wasn’t home when it was my birthday. So I made a fillet of beef with vegetable gratin and pepper sauce. And these goodies for afters. Together with blueberries and raspberries served with vanilla ice-cream and whipped cream. On a Wednesday. Oh my. What shall I serve this weekend? Lol.

Snow ?

Oh well. Another day with new snow. Not as cold as it was yesterday though. Then it was -4C when I went to work, but a gorgeous day with clear blue sky. Today the sky is grey and it is 2C outside. And still snowing. A long day ahead since it is Tuesday. But, I feel energized after a good start of the week!

Pyssel hos A – 24 Apr 2017

Cinnamon buns

Sunday and a chance to sleep in a bit and relax. My body isn’t as tired as I thought it would be – but I could definitely feel yesterdays workout when I walked down the stairs before.. lol.

A good day with a lot of things done – grocery shopping, laundry, dishes but also finished my income tax return and sent it in and baked some cinnamon buns and a cake. Now I’ve put my feet up for a minute to watch our junior hockey team play in the bronze game towards Russia. They are not doing great so far but still time to turn it around. Fingers crossed.

Fun day

A full day of fun together with our friends – 23 of us met up in Oxelösund this morning for a day of challenges at Boda Borg. Peter and Filip got this day as a X-mas present and since “the more the merrier” applies very well on this we asked if anyone wanted to come along. P & F teamed up with Sara and their team managed to get the most score and won! Me, Michael and my sister formed another team (at first we had two more members but they left after the first quest – it was a bit too scary for our youngest team member) and we managed to get through 17 of the quests. Yeah! We have climbed, crawled, answered quizzes and figured out quite tricky challenges all day long – between 10 AM and 6 PM with a short break for lunch. So, I will crash tonight, be sore tomorrow and my naprapath will have plenty to work with on Monday… But, we had a great time and I am so glad we could all do this together!

Friday again

Can’t believe it’s already been a week since we woke up in our paradise to spend Easter together. Time flies.

I felt a bit strange when I woke up today – a bit dizzy with a slight headache. I went to work anyway but ended up leaving a bit early since I didn’t feel better all day. Slept for an hour when I got home. Now I feel a bit better after dinner (which my husband prepared – lovely) and hopefully I will be as good as new tomorrow when we are going on our adventure. I’ll tell you all about it tomorrow!
