A really cold start of the day with -10C. Brrr. But, the commute to and from work went with no problems. I stayed for lunch at the office before I went home – nice to sit down and chat with my colleagues for a bit.
It is so very slippery outside with all the ice covering the pavements. I hope everyone manage to get home safe. The sun sets so very early now – this photo was taken around 2PM today.
A quiet afternoon catching up a bit on house chores and my tv-series. Lol. Going to make some filet of pork for dinner. Hm.. maybe served with pasta.
Snow
This morning we woke up to a winter wonderland. Our light-tree in the backyard looked so pretty in the dark and snow. Love it!
Chaos in traffic due to the weather – no surprises here. Same thing going back home again – the snow that has been melting during the day now freezes and makes the roads a challenge to walk and drive on. Managed to get back home in one piece with no broken bones, thank God.
Rainy start
A rainy start of the week. Problems with the subway going home – had to take the commuter train instead. Packed with bags with Xmas-gifts. Oh well.
Now I’ve spent a long time trying to deep clean our airfryer. I think I might have improved the state of it some. But, I really think we should replace this one and also take better care of the next one now that we know better what we are dealing with. We’ve had this for a long time now – 4 years – and we use it on a daily basis so it was a good purchase.
Now I’m waiting for a delivery that was supposed to arrive last Thursday. Fingers crossed it will be here before 10 PM tonight. Or I have to start chasing the delivery company again tomorrow and try to re-schedule the delivery one more time.
Advent 1st – 🕯
My favorite time of the year – Advent 1st and time to light the first candle. This year we decided to use electric candles with a timer – nice to have them lit every day without having to worry about forgetting to blow them out.
We’ve been busy bees today getting groceries, some Xmas-presents, getting the house cleaned and ready for advent. Some Xmas decorations such as lights are put up both indoor and outdoor. So nice. Going to enjoy a family dinner in a bit – making a gratin served with minute steak and veggies. And also – time to open the first window in our calendars. Fingers crossed it will reveal something wonderful for us to enjoy!
