Derby.. part 2

A nervous wait for the continuation of the derby this afternoon. We had a 2-0 lead after yesterday – so far so good! The game today was played with no supporters on the arena and I followed it via an online coverage.

And we managed to keep the 2-0 and won the derby! Yeah! I’m so glad!

Only three more games this season and a lot of nerves involved when playing in Europe being part of the reward coming top three. So, very important win today!

Derby

Finally the last derby this season – this time facing Djurgården. So exciting and very important game for both teams since the season is almost over and not many points left to fight for.

My hubby dropped me off at my parents so I could watch the game together with them while he was at the gym. Hammarby managed to do the first couple of coals and after 75 minutes Djurgården supporters started to use fireworks, bangers and threw things on the field so the police stopped the game. They emptied the arena and the last 15 minutes will be played tomorrow instead. Dramatic scenes when the supporters wasn’t too happy with the police’s decision.

Fingers crossed our team will manage to keep the 2-0 lead tomorrow and win the game. That would be great!

Castle of the month – Nynäs

Castle of the month of October – Nynäs Slott outside of Nyköping. My hubby has a cousin who lives in Nyköping and tonight we were invited to them for dinner. So, we decided to make a stop on the way and see this castle.

The first owner was Birgitta Jonsdotter back in 1328. The estate has then been mostly inherited and passed down in generations and only sold a couple of times. Various famous families have been the owners such as Grip, Gyllenstierna, Bonde, Anckarswärd, Hildebrandt and Gripenstedt who was the last family to own the property and sold it in 1984 to Sörmlands Läns Landsting.

The Gyllenstierna- family built the main building in the 17th century. Erik Gyllenstierna was a chamberlain to King Gustav II Adolf. The Gripenstedt-family took over the estate back in the 1850s and kept it as a summer residence. In 1967 parts of it was sold to the county counsil Landstinget and in 1972 the whole estate was classified as a nature reserve area. Landstinget opened the estate to the public in 1985 for guided tours. The National Museum owns all the collections and inventories in the castle.

Friday

This was a long week for some reason but finally Friday arrived and a nice weekend ahead.

It’s been a couple of quite cold days so a lot of the leafs have fallen off the trees and are covering the pavements now. Almost all of our apples are on the ground now too. Hmm. What to do with them all? Don’t want any more pies now. Lol.

Need to get my energy-levels back up again – hopefully this weekend might help some. Have a nice Friday!

Great song

I absolutely love this artist – PINK. She is great in so many ways and a great role model for so many young women.

Her song “I am all out of fight” is an extremely sad song about a break up or loss of a long term friendship or passing of a loved one. About not being able to carry on or have any energy left to pull yourself back together again. Listen to it, if you haven’t heard it.

“… I never asked for easyBut it shouldn’t be this hard
I’m all out of fightMy heart will always know your nameI’m all out of loveBut look at all the love we madeI’m all out of lifeOh babe, it’s killin’ me to sayI’m all out of love, I’m all out of life, I’m all out of fight, oh”
Music & lyrics : Alecia Moore / Johnny Mcdaid / Fred Gibson

Second game

Tonight our ladies play their second game in the group play in the Women’s Champions League. This time an away game,  facing the worst possible opponent in the last years winner – FC Barcelona.

However, Barcelona lost their first game in the group towards Manchester City, so maybe there’s a chance for Hammarby tonight. Fingers crossed. Even an even game would be amazing.

The 400 supporter-seats that was reserved for Hammarby was sold out and they have asked for another 300 seats. I don’t know if they managed to get them or not. Our supporters are truly amazing – I hope our players get the support they need for the game with all these people traveling so far to be there for them.

Our ladies started out very well with a 5-6 great chances but in the end the other team won with the clear 9-0. Bummer.

Nieces

Started my day with a doctors-appointment to check up the mark I have on my leg. He suspected I have a borrelia infection so he prescribed antibiotics. Oh well. Good thing I got it checked.

After a long day at work I met up with my two nieces and treated them to a nice dinner at the Italian restaurant in the same building as I work. We had a lovely time and they bring me so much energy. I hope we can do it again sometime soon.

My hubby was a hero and picked us up in town since I was bringing a couple of computer screens with me. We have replaced screens at work which opened up an opportunity to use the old ones at home to simplify work from home. Great.

New purse

Today I moved my life to my new purse – it was a challenge because it is a lot smaller than my old one. So, I had to re-organize and re-think but I’m quite happy with the result. Don’t need to carry around so many things so maybe this was a good way to stop.

Went to look for a new duvet with my oldest this afternoon. We washed his old one a while back and it got ripped so he has used another duvet for a while but is not happy with that one. Unfortunately the duvet he wanted was sold out but they will get new ones in next week. So, mission almost completed.

Pie

Me and my hubby decided to drive over to the Mall of Scandinavia and had a pasta lunch at Vapiano. It was ok but not as good as we had hoped for.

I saw a purse there the last time we visited and I wanted to go back to see if they still had it. And they did. So, now I have myself a new purse. Yeah. Hopefully it will be a good purchase. It is a lot smaller than my previous one, so it will be some getting used to. But, the old one was a bit too big so this might be better.

We stopped at my parents on the way back home and mom had made an apple pie – mmm. Delicious! Thank you!

Crumble

Slept really poorly again – need to break this somehow.

A really lovely sunny day off to enjoy. Ran our regular Saturday errands. This afternoon I had a massage appointment – lovely. Just what I needed. Four weeks until next one. Nice to have something to look forward to.

Made an apple crumble when I got back home. Also made a fish casserole for me and hubby. Our youngest had the leftovers from last nights dinner and our oldest is with his friends tonight.
