Today summer arrived. It’s been really warm and sunny outside. We started and ended the day with a nice walk. Lovely.
Made Swedish hash for me for lunch – pyttipanna. And home made pizza for dinner. Good thing we are walking so much!
More and more of our friends have been able to book their first shot now. Great progress! With some luck this pandemic will be under control within a couple of months. Hopefully we can return to our offices after the summer holiday.
Today me and my hubby were able to book an appointment for our first covid-shot. Yeah! May 23rd in the city. Same place – same time. Great. We can’t book our second shot yet though – they will send an SMS two weeks in advance to let us know the booking is open again.
Didn’t take a morning walk today since it was raining, so we took an extra long walk tonight instead. It was lovely outside so we walked around the lake. Now we’ve crashed infront of a new episode of “Mare of Easttown”.
Today it is Mother’s day in the US. This photo was taken during our latest visit back in 2017 when me and my sis took our Swedish parents to see our American parents. This photo of my American mom and me was shot at Sterling Vineyards going up to the top in one of the cableways. A great day with a lot of memories to cherish! Happy mother’s day! Love you!
Today my hubby has painted some more while I made a taco-pie for lunch. Then we went for a long walk to pick up the board game I had ordered and now we’ve crashed with a chocolate bun and a cup of tea infront of an old movie. It is raining again outside – it started as we were walking but now it is raining a lot.
Bright sunny day and time to clean our roof! We woke up the neighborhood around 9AM – lol. Sorry for this. A team of workers arrived at 08.30 and worked for almost 5 hours to complete. And they did a great job! And tidied up after themselves too. Even better! Now we will wait a few weeks for the second team to arrive – those who will seal our roof tiling with a wax of some sort and also paint the gutters.
After the workers had left we went grocery shopping (a bit late which wasn’t great since there were a lot more people out and about at this time) and now we have enjoyed a taco-dinner. And a glas of red for me. Lovely.
Friday again but this has felt like quite a long week for some reason. This morning the sun was shining so we went on our 3k walk before breakfast. It was only 1C so still quite cold.
Today my oldest was offered to receive Covid19-vaccination so he called them and booked appointments for both shots. Yeah! Now I hope me and my hubby will be allowed to do the same as of next week when our age-group is up. With some luck we will all be vaccinated by our summer holiday.
Decided to treat ourselves pizza tonight – I choose a capricciosa and it was delicious. Yum!
The workers called back and they will work on our roof tomorrow (if the weather is ok). So, no sleep in tomorrow as they will arrive early.
Wooaahhh what a stressful day. But I think I got all done and in time.
It was raining a lot this morning too so the workers called and cancelled. They need good weather to work on our roof. I guess this means they might come next week instead.
My hubby fixed dinner tonight – chicken w/ rise and garlic sauce. Nice to be served after a day like today. I didn’t have any energy left. No walks today – waiting for the rain to stop.
As we feared it was pouring down this morning so we cancelled the walk. And it hasn’t stopped all day (more or less) so no walk at all today. Not good. And I think this rain will go on for several days. Hm. I guess the flowers in our garden will be happy.
We have cleared away all our outdoor furniture etc for tomorrow – they will start cleaning our roofing tiles in the morning. I hope we will be able to work thru the noise (if there is any noise – I don’t know). I have quite a busy schedule tomorrow.
Made burgers for dinner and now we have crashed in front of the last episode of “Mrs Wilson”. A miniseries with only three episodes based on a true story (my favorite kind).
It was really pretty along by the lake this morning on our walk. I really appreciate our new habit – it is a good way to start the day even though I feel half a sleep some mornings.
Worked a long day today. Busy of and on. Nothing fun to chose from in the fridge so we treated ourselves thai food for dinner. Now we’ve taken our evening walk which wasn’t very pleasant. The weather changed and it is almost raining, a bit windy and quite chilly. Brrr. It might rain tonight and all day tomorrow so we’ll see if we will skip our walks tomorrow or not.
Meet Pascal – our latest edition to our family. Received him for my birthday from my dear sis. I found a good spot for him in one of our elder trees – facing the garden so he can keep an eye out for us.
New week – walking challenge continues. So we have done both our morning- and evening walk today. Now we have crashed in front of e new episode of “Mare of Easttown”. It is pretty good – Kate Winslet is excellent!
Sunday already. My hubby will continue his painting project – he might finish the wall he started on yesterday today. I haven’t really decided on how to spend my day yet. I know my oldest has a lot of studies to go thru. Maybe we can take a walk together later on in the afternoon depending on how the day has gone.
