ESC – part 2

Time to select the other half of the final field with the last 16 countries competing in the second semi-final.

We only watched the first hour – it was a bit too late with us getting up before 6 to get to work, but so far the songs haven’t really impressed us. Tonight the other Nordic countries participated, but unfortunately none of them went thru, unlike the first semi when all the participating Nordic countries passed.

The final 10 countries going thru to the finale was; Albania, Cyprus, Estonia, Belgium, Austria, Lithuania, Poland, Australia, Armenia and Slovenia.

Semi 3 and soccer

Yesterday I met up with my father after work and first we had a lovely dinner together and afterwards we went to see a soccer game together to cheer on our team. Fun! Unfortunately we didn’t win but we played an even 0-0 which was good.

The handball did go even worse and we lost big time in the 3rd semi. New chance on Friday since it is the first team reaching 3 wins. Now  they have 2 and we have 1 so far. If we win on Friday there will be a 5th and final game where the winner plays the finale.

When I got back home last night my husband was already asleep so I watched the end of the Eurovision Songcontest semi by myself. Sweden went thru. Great!

Short day today and I’ve been catching up a bit on laundry and house chores this afternoon. Lovely sunny week. Let’s hope it stays this way for a bit!

ESC – part 1

The Ukraine won last year but due to the ongoing war in the Ukraine, they are not able to host this years Eurovision Song Contest. Therefore the number two country last year, the UK, offered to host the event and it is being held in Liverpool.

Sweden is participating in the first semi-final – Loreen with her “Tattoo”.

The 10 countries that went thru to the finale is: Croatia, Moldova, Switzerland, Finland, Czechia, Israel, Portugal, Serbia, Norway and Sweden!!!

Puh!

New glasses

Last year I needed new glasses so I accepted a prescription with a monthly fee instead of buying a new pair. The prescription lets me change my frames regardless if I need new glasses or not once per year so I chose these ones. So far I’m happy with my choice. They are more black / silver compared to my old ones that were more bronze / gold.

Made a roast for dinner and served it with spagetti. Turned out ok. Now we’ve been watching a new series on Netflix called “The Night Agent” which is pretty good.

Semi 2

Yesterday me and my oldest went for a long nice walk in the forest. Today I feel like I went running or something yesterday – lol. Need to go for long walks more often!

We’ve been working in the garden today cutting our roses. Also went to get some new flowers, a new flag and a couple of solar cell lamps. Shall be fun to see how they turned out tonight when it’s dark.

This afternoon I walked over to my parents to watch the second semi final game in handball and this time we won 30-22! Yeah! So now we have 1-1 in wins. First to three goes to the finale. Next game on Tuesday – away this time.

Coronation

Sunny Saturday and lovely weather outside. My hubby helped my oldest niece half the day moving into her new apartment. They have been carrying furniture and buying some new things and her place is starting to look like a proper home. So happy for her.

I watched the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla on TV today. Great Britain showed off all its glory and it was very interesting to see.

After a couple of hours I decided that it was time to enjoy the lovely weather for a bit so me and my oldest went for a long walk in the forest. So nice. We had a nice chat.

Now we’ve had dinner – I made cod with pesto and mash – minute steak for the boys. Let’s hope tomorrow brings great weather too!

-5C

Brrrr a freezing morning. -5C. Doesn’t feel like spring right now. Should not be below 0C anymore.

My colleague had the day off so I was on my own at work today. Well, loads of other colleagues were there but no more admin.

Weekend again. Going to try to relax. Fix stuff in the garden. Read some. Watch some sports. Be with my family. Focusing on what’s important.

2 brothers & 2 sisters

Thursday and long day at work with a great ending – a girls night out with my mom and sister! First we met up at a Greek restaurant for dinner. The food was great and we managed to get a table without having a reservation. Perfect.

After dinner we walked over to Rival to enjoy an evening of nostalgia but also some new songs. The two brothers – Henrik and Magnus Rongedal – and the two sisters – Lili and Susie Päivärinta – had put a show together and their voices really matched each other and they sang great accompanied by the band Crash Boom Band! Loved their two new co-written songs too – “Shine” and “Side by Side”.

Semi 1

Midweek and short day. Had a lovely afternoon planned to gain energy starting with a massage. And it was just what my body and mind needed.

Got home in time to get dinner on the table and eat with my family. Then I went over to my parents to watch the first game in the semi finals in handball. Five games – but whoever reaches three wins first win. We lost after a terrible start that we never managed to recover from. New chance on Sunday.

Amazing tulips

My sister gave me this gorgeous bouquet of tulips the other day and now they have started to open up. I love them! So pretty!

Long busy day and now I’ve crashed in my corner. Catching up on mail, social media and TV. I have started to read a new book – “The Spider” – by Kepler. I have all of their books and this is the ninth book about the detective Jonna Linna. I really recommend them!
