Winter-time started today – time to move all the clocks and adjust to an hour difference.
We took a nice stroll around the block between breakfast and lunch and as the day has gone by the weather has improved bit by bit. During the afternoon it was quite sunny and hardly no wind at all – lovely.
We went up to Sandvik to get some groceries for the next couple of days and drove along the coast back to our house. Now we have had a quiet afternoon chatting. I carved a pumpkin that my cousin gave us – shall be interesting to see what it looks like when it is dark outside and we light a candle in it.
Paradise
After a full day in the car we finally arrived in our paradise right in time for a first sunset – hopefully out of many – and some time off from the real world. Our boys are still at home taking care of the house and going to school.
Tonight we have enjoyed a very nice spaghetti bolognese dinner with a nice glas of wine and chatting and catching up. Now some sofa-time and the first episode of “Så mycket bättre”. Life is pretty good.
Friday!
A day filled with clients and meetings and things to do. With a bit of planning and ability to juggle more than one thing at a time I managed to complete the day.
Now the laundry machine is running, I am trying to find clothes to pack and also figure out what groceries to buy tonight. Puh.
Tomorrow we might see if this little fellow has grown any since we left him in our paradise. Our boys will hold the fort at home and take care of the house while me and my hubby are away for a few days. My parents, brother-in-law and his mom are coming to. I am really looking forward to this little air-whole and hopefully ability to breathe and regain energy.
Bolognese
A long day filled with work – and what better way to end such a day than with a nice bowl of spaghetti bolognese?
My hubby has spent a couple of hours building our new wardrobes – we’re getting closer to being finished but we have some stuff left. The new curtains didn’t work so I returned them this morning. We’ll see what we decide and chose in the end.
Need to start thinking about what to pack for paradise too. Kind of tricky to know where all my clothes are. Lol.
Precious
These last couple of days I have been listening to a lot of old Depeche Mode music going back and forward to work. “Precious” is one of my favorites from the Playing the Angel album.
I have been catching up on some well over-due house-chores this afternoon such as ironing and sorting things out. Also I picked up the new curtains I ordered – hopefully they will work out. If not – I will return them and try something else.
X-mas decorations
Today they put up the X-mas decorations in town. They will probably not turn the lights on just yet – I assume. Feels strange to think X-mas is around the corner. I have no idea what to wish for or get to others for X-mas. Right now I just wish for our health and that we will be able to spend X-mas together.
Made burgers for the boys for dinner. Hubby got home a bit late so he had to make his own dinner. I ate some lentil soup and now I’ve had some coffee while watching some TV.
Sun bun
What a start of the week. Tons of things to do but with some planning it will work out. One day at a time.
Hurried home when I was off work and grabbed a quick bite to eat. Then I took my oldest to his treatment and I finally got two minutes to myself. A nice latte and a sun bun at the hospital. Served with a pretty flower and a smile. After the coffee I went to the quiet-room to sit down for a bit and light a candle. Just what I needed.
The traffic back was awful and it took us over an hour to get home. Now I’ve crashed for a bit before it is time to start dinner. Four more days. Then I have some time off.
Wallpaper – check
Yeah – we are done! And we are very happy with the outcome. The wallpaper is up and the new bedspread looks great. The new curtains, however, didn’t deliver so we are returning those tomorrow. We have ordered a new one which hopefully will arrive during next week. We’ll see. These old ones will have to do for now.
Next week we will start building our wardrobe. Once that is done we can move back the decorations on the walls and the bookshelves. But, I am so happy we are done this far.
Good for the soul
A wonderful Saturday. Started with our usual chores and after lunch we worked a couple of hours with our bedroom redecoration and managed put some more wallpaper up. Not much left now and hopefully we’ll get it done tomorrow. I can’t wait to get our home back in order again and clean all the dust away.
Tonight we picked up my brother-in-law and drove in to town to meet up with my sis and our friend C. They had been to a concert – part one of a surprise evening – and we were part two of the evening. We had dinner at Villa Godthem and it was so nice to just spend the evening among dear friends – chatting, laughing, eating great food and drinking a nice glass of wine. We missed C’s hubby who wasn’t able to come along – so we need to do it again real soon when all six of us are able to attend.
Princess
A quiet evening infront of the tv. First an episode of the third season of “The Sinner” with Bill Pullman that we have started to watch. The I guess I’ll watch another episode of the Swedish Idol before it is time to hug my pillow. Going to try to get a good nights sleep so we can work some on our wallpapering tomorrow. Would be great if we could complete the bedroom this weekend.
