Due to the pandemic, the Vasaloppet has taken a different form this year. The main event is for elit skiers only. Therefor the track has been open for a whole month (12 Feb – 7 Mar) for everyone else who wants to participate in order to spread out the skiers as much as possible in an event called VasaĆ„ket. Also you can choose from 4 different lengths – 10, 30, 45 and 90 km. A friend of ours participated last weekend and managed to complete the 90km long rase. Great job!
Next year there will be a 100 years anniversary – hopefully the pandemic is no longer a problem and the world is back to some sort of normal.
