Oh what a day. Started early with my dentist appointment – preparations to put a cap on my root canal. The procedure itself took about an hour and it went really well. Unfortunately, I got stuck in the elevator on my way to the dentist. I got in, the door closed and then nothing happened. I had to press the alarm. Still nothing. After a few minutes someone else called for the elevator way up in the building and it started to work again and I got out. Puh. What a way to start my appointment.
Got back home and worked my hours – and had quite a lot on today which was fun. Then one final appointment with my therapist and then, since I was in the building, I went to do my physio therapy as well. Done for the week. No more now.
I’m going to make burgers with mashed potatoes for dinner in a bit. But first I’m tucked in my corner for a little while. Needed a break for some reason. Lol.
Long Tuesday
A very strange May – feels like March with degrees below 0C, snow, hale, wind. Brrrr. Tonight at dinner we all dreamed a bit about going on another cruise – all four of us really enjoy this kind of vacation. We have tried the Caribbean – maybe we will try another part of the world next time. I wonder when that might be – with all the travel regulations and restrictions due to the covid19-virus.
First of all let’s say a prayer that we will be allowed to travel to our own paradise this summer. The authorities still haven’t decided if they will remove the travel restrictions yet or not. Fingers crossed.
Cinnamon buns
Where did this weekend go? Monday already and a new week to look forward to. Had a session with my physio therapist this morning and he was very pleased with my results. Yeah! New follow up in 3 weeks.
Got home – worked my hours and since I finished after lunch today I decided to make a batch of cinnamon buns this afternoon. They boys were very happy with my decision. And the buns turned out great!
Made a fish casserole for us for dinner and a wok for the boys. Now I’m going to relax in my corner for a bit. It’s been really cold outside today – might be nice to enjoy the spa tonight.
US Mother’s day
Happy mother’s day to my American mom and all other moms! I hope you have a great day and that you feel the love and appreciation from all your kids!
A sunny start of the day and a rainy evening. We have taken it easy today and enjoyed the day off. New challenges to come next week with quite a few appointments to go to. My tooth is still not 100% but I don’t know how it is supposed to feel like. It is a huge difference since the procedure was done but I still feel it when I chew. But one day at a time. Next step on Wednesday.
Stroll
Weekend again and lovely weather today. We have been relaxing – working a bit in the garden, had a left-over lunch and then we went for a 3k walk around Långängen. It was really pretty with treas starting to get their leaves, wood anemones (vitsippor) everywhere and people enjoying the day off.
I have been studying a bit too and passed another course – Art of Negotiation. Fun! Already enrolled for the next course. These courses are a part of a bigger program with 10 courses and I might try to do them all to get the full certificate. But, one step at a time.
Classic
This week has already come to an end. It went by really quickly. Weather-wise no much fun but today it has been lovely outside.
My husband left early to go to his workout and also pick up his new glasses so he didn’t get back home until after lunch .
So I made an Andersson-classic for lunch – sausage – mushrooms – corn fried up in a pan. Yum.
This afternoon we had an afterwork via Teams and we spent an hour chatting and enjoying a glas of wine together. Nice to see everybody. I wonder when we will be allowed back to work again – maybe we’ll have to wait until after the summer. Have a nice weekend everyone!
Sausages
Started my day with another physio session – need to do two per week. Next one is on Monday and then I will see my physio therapist to evaluate my progress and how to proceed. Can’t say I notice any huge changes so far but it is still early days.
My husband started the grill and fried up some of the sausages he made a while back. These two were really yummy and we could sit outside and have our lunch, which was great. A bit chilly but sunny.
Worked a full day today and have been quite busy all day. Feels good to be occupied and slowly get back to speed again.
Physio
Got up early this morning and spent some time studying before it was time to turn on my computer and start work. Short day today.
Since I didn’t go to my physio therapy Monday I decided to do it this afternoon instead (they open late on Wednesdays so I couldn’t do it before work). But, it turned out to be a good idea since it was only me there this afternoon. Perfect. Picked up some groceries for my parents and stayed and enjoyed a coffee and moms yummy rhubarb cake outside in the sun on my way back home from the gym. Nice.
Tuesday
I finally slept really well and woke up with hardly any stress at all. Yeah. I was so tired last night after the hours at the dentist.
A long day at work and I kept busy most of the day. We had goulash for lunch – tried the canned one but we both agreed that the one we usually buy is tastier. After work I vacuumed downstairs and then I made pork filet with oven baked potatoes served with green pepper sauce and green pees. I made a blueberry crumble pie the other day – still some left for tonight. Life is not so bad..
Root canal
Finally the day has come. The one I have dreaded and had nightmares about. Time for the other half of my root canal. My husband was a sweetheart and dropped me off and picked me up so I didn’t have to go by bus (didn’t want to drive myself either).
2.5 hrs later it was done. It was way more painful last time when the odontologist cleaned the tooth and prepared it for the next step. This time I knew what was going to happen and could mentally prepare for it better, but my jaw feels like it has been in a huge fight after not being able to close for 2.5 hrs. Puh. Next week I have an appointment with my regular dentist to start preparing for a cap (krona). Puh.
Took a nice long bath when I got back home. Just what I needed. No energy left today.
