Lilacs

The lilacs have just started to bloom in our backyard and the scent is amazing. I love them! The whole garden is coming alive – the apple trees are also in bloom and the peonies are not far from blooming either.

Long busy day at work – I’ve spent most of the day with a translation which is very exhausting since it requires a lot of focus and considerations. But it’s fun when you get credit for work well done!

Fun last game in the group play tonight – Sweden vs. Russia. Then the scariest game of them all awaits – the quarter final – on Thursday.

Bagel sallad

New week. What happened to the weekend? Time goes by way too quickly.

Short day to start the week – stayed for lunch at a Bagel-place close to work and had an excellent sallad with a bagel. Yum. I will definitely go there again.

Got home in time for the hockey game – Sweden vs. Latvia. A game we needed to win and we did – by a thread. Even after an own goal and a questioning of a call (coach challenge) which gave us 2 min penalty. But 5-4 nonetheless. Puh. Now we are in the quarter final regardless of the outcome of the game tomorrow towards Russia. Yeah.

Lazy Sunday

What a great weekend (besides we didn’t win last night – but great that the Netherlands won – 44 years since they won last time. Congratulations!)

Yesterday we went to an afternoon tea celebrating a dear friend who turned 50 the other week. It was a great sunny afternoon and we could sit outside for a few hours. Lovely. And lovely to see them both again!

We then went home to get changed for the mello-party at my sisters with our friends. Oh – and Sweden vs. Switzerland 4-3 – very important win!

Today I’m going to stay in my corner all day catching up on some stuff I’ve recorded. Starting out with Grey’s Anatomy. It’s raining outside, my husband had to work (some on-call thing), my oldest is going to his friends house and my youngest is still asleep.

May 17 🇧🇻

No Norwegian flag to put up today I’m afraid but we still congratulate Norway on their national day! Cheers!

A very busy day with a lot to do and a nice afterwork event before it was time to go home. Just a few drinks and a nice chat to end a long week. Managed to catch both the subway and the bus without having to wait for too long, which was great. Now I’ve crashed infront of “Let’s Dance” with a cup of tea and a sandwich for a bit before it’s time to hug my pillow.

ESC – part 2

Second part of the qualification round – tonight it is our turn to try and hopefully reach the finale.

Tonight the following countries are competing ; Armenia, Ireland, Moldova, Switzerland, Estonia, Romania, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Croatia, Malta, Lithuania, Russia, Albania, Norway, The Netherlands, North Macedonia and Azerbaijan. Go Sweden!

I was invited to a social event at the Sparrow Hotel after work – they have opened an after work bistro and wine bar and Mathias Dahlgren is the chef in charge so the food was excellent! Enjoyed a small glas of rosé before I headed back home after a very long day.

Oh, and Sweden won over Austria 9-1. Yeah. Now we only have the more qualified countries left to play. The walk in the park is over..

Ps.. we made it to the finale!

Summer soul stice

It was a beautiful morning today and the cherry blossoms by the bus stop have lost their petals and little cherries are on their way.

A very busy – but short – day at work and I had scheduled some me-time on my way home. Got my nails done – now they are painted in a light yellow color called “summer soul stice”. The girl asked me if I was brave.. of course I said yes. Lol.

Lasagna for dinner, a few loads of laundry done and now some corner-time watching and episode of “Yellowstone”. Have a great Wednesday, everyone.

ESC – part 1

Time for the first qualification round in the Eurovision Song Contest. This year held in TelAviv since Israel won last year.

Tonight we pick the first ten to reach the finale – and the contestants are; Cyprus, Montenegro, Finland, Poland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Belarus, Serbia, Belgium, Georgia, Australia, Iceland, Estonia, Portugal, Greece and San Marino.

Lunch date

New week. Time flies. The weekends pass way too quickly. But this one was a good one though.

After work I met up with an old friend for lunch. Haven’t seen her since January or something so we had a good catch-up. Hopefully we can see each other soon again – maybe go for an after-work-thing instead of lunch so we will have more time.

Great win last night with 8-0 towards Italy. Another challenge tonight facing Norway. We’d better win that one too. Fingers crossed.

(Easy peasy 9-1 victory!)

Concert .. again!

A great Sunday – a bit grey and cloudy though. Even some rain. My parents came over for a coffee in the afternoon and I helped them with our trip.

After a take-away dinner me, my husband and youngest son went into town to meet up with my sis and her family to enjoy a concert held at the Cirkus Arena in town. The Danish group “Lukas Graham” was performing and I just love them. Lukas is an awesome singer and writes very good personal lyrics which made even more sense after him explaining what they mean to him. Great evening!
