Valborg đŸ”„

National holiday today celebrating Walpurgis Night. I had a half day at work and my husband a full day (but he managed to get off a bit early). We had invited my sister w/ fam and my parents over for dinner.

No bonfires tonight though – it’s way too dry in the ground so the fires are not allowed. So, after dinner we sat in the spa instead and then we played board games all night. Lovely.

Energy

New week. New challenges. I think I managed to handle most of what today brought me.

Got home and crashed for a bit. Found some energy on the table.. I prefer the Swedish ones but these are alright too. But, the ones with peanuts in are better. Someone ate them though.. I wonder who.

Dinner with my boys and now I’ve crashed for a bit longer. Oh – and we won the gold medal yesterday! Beat Russia 3-2 in the U18 finale in ice hockey. Yeah! First gold ever. Our future pride-and-joy is looking good.

Garden

A lovely Sunday – very relaxing and productive at the same time. We’ve been working in the garden, running laundry of all sorts and been very busy. Put up the trampoline to see if we want to keep it or not. Hung up all the pretty solar cell lights I got for my birthday last year. Cleaning all the beds and towels. Perfect!

The cherry tree in our backyard is just starting to bloom with pretty white flowers. The apple trees still have a while before they will bloom. I love the spring. Except for the pollen. I had to take a pill today.

Going to cheer on our young pride and joy-team tonight! The U18-team made it all the way to the finale in the world championship in hockey. Facing Russia. The US just beat Canada and won the bronze.

Me time

Wasn’t able to sleep this morning so I got up and enjoyed a quiet breakfast instead.

Went in to town to see an old friend for a treatment. She just got her abhyanga massage diploma and has started her own company. I have never tried that kind of massage before but it was totally relaxing. It is a light massage done with warm sesame oil. Loved it. And it was great to see her again after all these years.

Strolled thru the city going home – it was nice to not be in a hurry and just take my time. Got home and made dinner to my family and now we’ve crashed in front of a new series on Netflix we were recommended to see “Russian Doll”.

Movie time

Friday. Looking forward to the weekend after a very busy week. A good day with a lot of progress at work – starting to see the end of the tunnel.

Met up with my family at home and we then went over to Heron City to meat up with our friends for dinner and then movie. The Avengers – Endgame. The very long movie (3 hrs) went by quickly and we all loved it (even though it was a tiny bit slow from time to time.. ) But, the actors were great and I always love Robert Downey Jr… ever since the 80s when I saw him in Weird Science.

Thursday

Morning breakfast meeting in town. I was invited to look at a newly opened hotel close to work which was great.

Very busy day with another meeting in the end with dinner afters so I got home late. Some ups and downs and new challenges to figure out. But I’m sure it will be ok in the end.

Date

Midweek already. Short day at work – had to come in a bit earlier though but managed to go home on time which was great since I had a date with my son. I love that we can have lunch together every now and then. He was on his way to KTH for his afternoon class so he stopped on the way to see me.

I’ve been a busy bee all afternoon cleaning the house, doing laundry, giving the bathroom some extra attention etc. Fixed dinner and then tending to my parents house and grocery shopping after that. Puh.

My youngest is at the movies tonight watching the film we are going to see on Friday. It’s the opening tonight and he didn’t want to wait, lol. Let’s hope he comes home with a smile on his face.

Work again

A very hectic day with a lot of challenges. And a long day too. Puh. Decided to take a walk after work to clear my head and get some steps on my meeter.

So, I went over to KungstrÀdgÄrden to look at the gorgeous cherry trees that are in full bloom now. It was crowded with people who wanted to get a glimpse of the beauty and take some photos. For a few weeks the trees will be this amazing before the flowers fall off.

A sunny very warm Stockholm with almost 20C was not so bad after all. But I always miss the ocean.

Annandag pÄsk

The last day in our paradise for now arrived sooner than we all wanted. Time to pack up and head back to the real world. After a nice breakfast we started the journey home and arrived safely almost 7 hrs later. The traffic was better than we expected, fortunately.

Thai-dinner, laundry done, now a coffee and an episode of “Game of Thrones” – last season. Perfect ending of a perfect week.

PĂ„skdagen

Another amazing day. What a week we have had. So good for the soul. Time to relax. Take nice walks around the area. Enjoy each others company. We decided to have dinner in town at Sörens – feels like a tradition and a nice ending of a great Easter weekend. When we got home we were treated one last sunset this visit  – we’ve had one every night all week. A couple of rounds of “Azul” to end a perfect day and perfect week in our paradise. Tomorrow it is time to head back to the real world and to our youngest who’s been home alone. Wish we could stay longer but at least now we have gained some new energy and strength to face new challenges.

Thank you for this week!
