Sunday. Time to switch over to summer-time. We were hoping to wake up to a sunshine but it was raining so no spa-time this morning.
After breakfast me and my husband drove over to Mall of Scandinavia to pick up his new glasses. I found some new clothes that I had seen on line. Fun with something new to wear!
It was not the best day to go there though since it was the premier for the new season of soccer in Sweden. And the winning team from last year, AIK, have their home arena right next to MoS so the place was crowded with supporters wearing yellow and black.
No fancy dinner tonight – just fish fingers with mash and spinach. Leftovers for M. The nice weather returned earlier so we will enjoy the spa for a bit tonight instead. Perfect ending of a nice relaxing weekend.
Cleaning
Didn’t sleep very well last night. Again. Too much on my mind. Got up early and enjoyed a quiet breakfast infront of the TV.
We spent the morning cleaning and fixing stuff around the house, went to get the car washed, bought groceries and lunch. And some tulips. Pink with a yellow rim and white ones.
Tried to start packing for my trip – the weather prognosis is changing from day to day so it’s hard to know what clothes to bring. One minute it looks like we’ll have sunshine and summer warmth, the next one it will rain all weekend. Some sunshine would be nice.
Forever young
I have watched the documentary about Josefin Nilsson on SVTPlay – it sends a very emotional and important message. If you haven’t seen it yet – please do! As a consequence of this I have listened to her music all day. I was a big fan of her and Ainbusk Singers when they had their peak 20 some years ago.
They have also translated and made covers of great songs such as Forever Young, Fields of Gold, Every breath you take etc. Josefins way of singing is very vulnerable but yet powerful. And the way her sister Marie talked about their relationship, closeness and what happened to her was extremely touching and moving.
Time to enjoy the weekend – have a great one, everyone!
Longing
Soon soon we’ll be down in our paradise again. Can’t wait. Longing so much. But first we have a lot to accomplish and complete. This weekend is empty so far and I hope it won’t fill up too much. Need to pack for my trip next Thursday. I know, I still have Mon-Wed to do that but those are already filled with tons of things to do so I might as well pack when I have a minute to myself.
Long day today. It was freezing this morning but got up to amazing 13C during the day. Bright sunshine. Lovely. Keep it up!
Twins
My egg this morning had two yolks. Haven’t seen that in a while. So my omelette was extra tasty!
I was so tired when I got home after work I fell asleep for a half an hour. That doesn’t happen very often. My husband has been home sick all week – I hope I haven’t caught what he has had. I don’t have time to be sick right now. But, I guess this week is better than next week when we are going away on a trip with my work. Wouldn’t want to miss that! I’m very seldom home sick from work so I’m sure I will be fine again tomorrow.
Breathe
What a strange day. Didn’t feel like Tuesday for some reason. And the day felt very long too. Now I’m exhausted and not going anywhere for the rest of the evening.
Just going to sit here and enjoy my coffee and maybe watch the soccer game. Sweden is facing Norway tonight in the qualification round for the European Championships. We won over Romania the other day. Yeah. One game at a time.
Spring
Finally a sunny day with spring feeling. Stayed in town for lunch and a coffee before I went home. It was nice to stroll a bit in the sunshine.
Some flowers have dared to show their faces in our garden but spring still has a while before it has arrived. It was quite warm this weekend but today it was 0C again.
Made a fish dish tonight – had some cod and salmon left in the freezer so I boiled some rise and mixed it all in a bowl, covered it with mixed milk and eggs and then cooked it in the oven until it set. Mmm. Need I say that the boys ate something else.. lol.
Waffles
Tomorrow it is a theme day in Sweden – Waffles day – but we decided to celebrate it today instead. Made a big stack for lunch served with whipped cream and jam of different sorts. Mmm.
A lazy day doing this-and-that. So nice to start the weekend with an activity on the Friday. Makes the weekend much longer, some how. My husband has been feeling a bit poorly for a few days so we haven’t done much besides resting and relaxing. He will stay home from work tomorrow. I hope he feels better soon.
Fish spa
We treated ourselves one spa treatment during our visit and decided to try the fish spa when we arrived yesterday. It was only 10 min but quite a fun experience – very ticklish but they only nibbled – no biting!
Before dinner last night and after breakfast this morning we spent some time in their Japanese spa and pool area which is quite spectacular.
Now we are back home again – crashed in our corners – not energized but rather filled with peace. It has been 10 years since our last visit to Yasuragi – I wonder when we will go there next time.
Time off
A well needed pause from our stress. We met up at home after work and drove out to Yasuragi for some time off from the rest of the world.
We had booked a nice room for the night and enjoyed their fantastic teppanyaki dinner when the chef stands in front of you and cooks the dishes while you watch. We had a six course dinner consisting of kimchi, scallop, goyzas, smoked cod with maki of salmon, wagyu prime rib and finally sudachi curd ice cream for afters. Drinks package to go with (I chickened out and chose the traditional one instead of the Japanese one). After a lovely evening we crashed in our room with a view.
