Countdown

Longing for summer, vacation, time with my family away from all the musts and have-to’s  It was -7C this morning. Brrr.

We had an early meeting this morning and also fun celebrations in the afternoon for a colleague who turned 50 last week so I had quite a long day today.

Made a lasagna when I got home and it turned out great. Now we will go and sit in the spa for a bit. Lovely.

Sunny Sunday

A very nice Sunday with lovely weather. We went for a walk around the lake which took us a little over an hour. So nice. I’m glad we went. Lake still covered with ice but no one dared to skate or ski since it might break.

Invited my parents over for dinner tonight and to treat them the left-overs from the collection of cheeses from last night. Mmm. Opened a bottle of red too… Perfect ending of a lovely weekend!

Mellofinalen

Wow. Already time for the finale. And what a great competition we’ve had so far – and so much fun that we have been able to see each other on all the selections (except one when one family was sick but the rest of us got together anyway).

Tonight we are gathering at my sisters house. We have bought a cheese tray with a selection of different very smelly cheeses (lol). They will be lovely to eat but I can’t say I will miss having them in our fridge (lol).

Melodifestivalen this year has been led by Sarah Dawn Finer, Kodjo Akolor, Marika Carlsson and Eric Saade and the finale takes place at Friends Arena.

Lunch with son

My oldest had a test this morning and then some sort of a review after lunch so we met up in between and had lunch together at our favorite place – TGI – and their lunch specials. We always chose the same – lol.

My right shoulder has been bothering me a few days and it is starting to get really bad. I had an appointment with my masseur after work so I asked her to take a look and she spent the entire session working on my shoulder. Bummer. I was looking forward to a good massage but ended up with pain treatment.   She thinks it is muscular and that I have strained it. I will have bruises after her treatment and I am terribly sore right now. Hopefully it will get better soon now after she was able to loosen it up a bit.

Grey

A very grey boring day – not so cold fortunately but a bit rainy when I arrived in town. Long busy day and almost 13000 steps later I arrived back home again where my husband was preparing dinner. He got held up at work so he was late too.

Picked up some goodies for Saturday eve today – NK was launching the new food court and deli-bars and we who are members had an extra discount. Perfect!

-11C

This morning it was freezing -11C outside so extra everything on when going to work. When going home early afternoon it was already 0C so a big difference.

Made spaghetti bolognese for dinner.  Perfect comfort-food when you are feeling a bit cold. The house can’t quite catch up when the temperature is changing so quickly up and down. But, some time in the spa made me warm again. Now a nice cup of green tea my mother gave me yesterday before it’s time to hug the pillow.

Happy birthday 🎁

After work the whole family were invited to my parents to celebrate my dad who turned 81 years old today. My mother had prepared a lovely dinner for us and this delicious cakes for afters. Mmm.

We gave dad a polo shirt in a bright raspberry-red color – I hope he will like it. It was a happy color!

Thank you for a great evening! Love you!

Above zero

A weird weather day. Snowing. Raining. Above zero so everything is melting away again.

Been busy all afternoon cleaning, doing laundry, vacuuming, ironing, making dinner. Now I’ve solved some more pieces of my new puzzle while watching a couple of episodes of a series. Not much else on tv right now.

Winter returned

A full day in my corner today.. got really late last night and we had a great time with our friends. One more part of the song contest to go.

Today I’ve been watching this years edition of Vasaloppet which gave the skiers an extra challenge with the heavy snow fall and wind. It’s been snowing all day non-stop. Now I’ve changed channel and cheer on our Swedish participants in the track & field competitions from Glasgow. A day filled with sports. Lovely.

My husband and oldest son are in town with our friends to enjoy my husbands birthday present – two Escape Rooms with lunch in between. My brother-in-law received the same present so he is with them too. I hope they have a great day together!

2nd chance

Time to send the last four contestants to the finale. And as usual they are competing two and two. Tonight they are in Nyköping.

Tonight the E family is the host and we are contributing with snacks and some bubbli. May the best song go thru to the finale!

  • Duel 1 – Andreas Johnson –  Anna Bergendahl
  • Duel 2 – Vlad Reiser – Nano
  • Duel 3 – Martin Stenmarck – Lisa Ajax
  • Duel 4 – Rebecka Karlsson – Arvingarna

I guessed all four correct! Now we have selected all 12 contestants to the finale .
