Actually managed to sleep in a bit today. Just what I needed probably. I love Saturday mornings – I am never able to stay up late on Fridays so I always tape the result of the Swedish Idol. Then I cuddle up in my corner in the morning, enjoying a long breakfast and looking at who managed to go thru and who had to leave the competition.
Carved a pumpkin the other day and last night I lit a candle in it for the first time. It looks so nice outside the house in the evenings. Tonight we are going to my sister for dinner together with two other friends. We have been talking about taking a trip next year together and might start some planning. Just making up a rough draft – not book anything. The last time the six of us took a trip together was before we had kids – probably about 25 years ago or so.
One more..
.. week to go and then fall break is here and my youngest will come home for a visit. Can’t wait to see him. I am so very proud of him and I hope and pray that he is having a good time and will have a positive experience and a lifetime memory.
Finally Friday and a weekend to enjoy! I feel quite tired and in need of a break. I would love to take a vacation and go to the sun somewhere. Some time on a beach, getting a tan and relax would be a dream come true. Can’t remember our last sun-trip – hm.. let’s see – the last one with my family was back in 2012 together with my parents-in-law. That was an amazing trip – a cruise in the Caribbean. Would love to do it again!

This morning it was below 0C for the first time this fall. Brrrr. But quite a sunny and pretty day. A busy long day later I am back home again. Almost 13.000 steps today. Not enough stairs though. I am not great at choosing stairs but I am trying and doing better. And my new device is helping a lot (the watch I got from my husband). Nice to be home tonight – have been out three nights in a row. Need some corner time to catch up a bit on our series.
Dinner in town
Short day today (even though I was in one hour early). The office is getting back in order one step at a time. Still a number of steps to go though but it is starting to come together.
After work I had a bunch of things to do – we had a mountain of things to take to the waste disposal site so I did that. I also went grocery shopping. In the evening I went into town to meet an old friend for dinner. A colleague of mine suggested a very old and traditional restaurant called “Tranan” (actually he suggested a couple of restaurants but this one had tables a lot earlier than the others). I enjoyed a plate of halibut and it was really nice. Great evening!
Back and forward
Yesterday I went home after work and then back into town again. Today I accompanied my oldest to a doctors appointment during the afternoon and then I went back to work and stayed quite late (which I would have done anyway) to move three more workplaces and put up the new wifi-equipment.
Tomorrow I will meet an old friend in town for dinner – and since I end my day at 1 PM tomorrow I will go home before it is time to head back into town again. Back and forward. Three days in a row.
Pyssel hos M – 16 okt 2017
Family Sunday
A perfect Sunday. Time to sleep in a bit. Quiet breakfast watching two episodes of “Gåsmamman”. Sitting outside in the sun for a bit. Quick lunch. Then my parents picked us up and we went over to my sister for afternoon coffee and some planning and family conference. Good to be on the same page.
Afterwards me and my parents went into town to cheer on our team in handball. Unfortunately they lost 26-25 – not a great game but still fun to watch. They would have needed to win this one though.
My husband had picked up some take-away dinner for us when we got back home and we had dinner and coffee before they left to go home. A very nice Sunday with the family.
Bff
Finally weekend. And it didn’t come a day too soon. A well needed break. After a great breakfast and some sofa time I took care of our house which I have neglected for a while. Nice to get back on track again.
Me and my husband were invited to my bff (best friend forever) and her boyfriend for dinner. We haven’t been to their house since they moved in and they have really turned it to a home. Very nice.
D-day
What a day. But we made it. With a few quick-fixes and improvising. I got to work 1,5 hours early and left 1,5 hours late. But now I have a whole weekend with no work (hopefully). My doctor gave me the clear to enjoy our spa already a few days ago, but I haven’t found the opportunity until tonight. It was so nice to sink myself down in the warm tub and enjoy the massage jet streams for a bit. We picked up pizza for dinner and now I will crash in my corner with a glass of white. 20 000 steps today and my whole body aches . So glad I don’t have to work tomorrow morning.
Salty lunch
A rainy fall day. And very very busy at work. I went across the street to get a teriyaki salmon for lunch but they were already all sold out so I took a pad thai gai instead. It must have been very salty because I have been so thirsty all afternoon. Bought a Trocadero on my way home. I know – I don’t drink sodas anymore. But, I make an exception occasionally. And then I usually chose Trocadero.
Tonight I will say a prayer for northern California and the awful Atlasfires that are completely destroying the whole area. So scary and horrible. It has affected everyone I know in the bay area – very stressful for them not knowing if they will loose their homes. The schools are closed due to the smoky air and a lot of workplaces are closed too. The fires are wiping out everything in it’s way and it seems like nothing can stop it. Terrible.
