Making plans

A very sunny morning inspired me to take a walk over to my parents to tend to their house. Then when I got back we drove over to the local plant store to get some inspiration on what to put outside our house. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe roses? Or continue with the “brudslöjor” that are to the right? It’s only evening sun and some shadow too due to the apple tree in front. We’ll see what we decide.

Also we booked a special treat for next weekend when we celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. Nice dinner and staying the night. Not going to reveal where just yet. But, I was hoping maybe my parents could treat my oldest dinner on Saturday (if he isn’t spending the evening with his friends)…

Time for a change

Friday again. Don’t know where this week went. Removed the big bandages but left the surgeon tape that protects the stitches – have to try to keep the tape on for as long as possible to make the scars as invisible as possible.

Had made an appointment at the hairdressers after work. Decided to make a change – nothing too drastic though. Just cut the ends and colored the hair a bit darker. Time for fall. Need some color. The blond was too light and the outgrowth too dark – now it’s all one color and a bit more vibrant. It was well approved by my husband and oldest son.

Colors

This morning the trees on our street were really stunning with all their colors. Fall is on it’s way. The sun has been shining today and it has been around 15C outside so quite warm for the season. Long day at work today so no time to enjoy the sunshine I’m afraid. A very busy day too with a lot of planning and meetings – next week we will hopefully start phase two of our half-year-renovation project at work. So far so good.

Birthmarks

Today I went to see my plastic surgeon who removed three of my birthmarks. So now I have three bandages and a bunch of stitches. And a complete ban on enjoying any bath for the next two weeks or so. Bummer. Shower is ok though but not tomorrow. Next appointment booked in two weeks to remove all the stitches. So now I am relaxing a bit and stuffing myself with a blueberry muffin to get my sugar level back up again. I’m not a huge fan of getting anesthesia shots and now I got three of them. They are quite painful but the good part is that the procedure itself doesn’t hurt after getting them. Now the long nervous wait before she gets the results from the lab to see if they were ok or not. If not – more surgery. Fingers crossed.

Very long day ..

Had to be at work really early today to let the guys in who will install our new fire alarm. Said and done. But, I also had my long day today and this way I extended my day another 1,5 hrs. Now I have crashed in my corner and lit some candles in my beautiful heart decorated with stones from our paradise and especially made for me by my dear sister! I love it!

Tonight I will take my last spa-bath for a while – tomorrow I have an appointment with my doctor to remove one or two birthmarks on my arm. And after surgery and stitches one is not allowed to take a bath for a while since the scar might be infected. Only showers allowed. ?

Focus

One of those days.. had a busy start of the day and an important meeting at work. Have a lot on my mind, a lot of decisions and things to consider which drains me a bit. Met with my naprapath after work which was just what I needed. Haven’t seen him in a few months now. When I got home I was on the phone for a long time getting hold of both the insurance company, the land registry and also my new bank. And had a phone meeting with our IT-guy from work – a lot of new things to be aware of, prepare and organize with the office since it is going through a make-over on the network cable-department.

Fall day

I’ve been so lazy all day. No energy. My husband has been outside for a bit but he also took a “day off” from chores. Our oldest has been trying to get some work done from school and also signed up for two exams in October. Fingers crossed he will pass them both. That would mean so much for his studies to be able to put some things behind him.

The day started out quite beautiful but as the day went by more and more clouds showed up and after a while the sun went away all together. But it’s been quite warm. There are still some pretty flowers in the garden and the trees haven’t started shifting color yet.

Congratulations to my American mom today! Wish you a great day!

Stekpannan

A grey and boring day weather-wise. My husband decided to dig up the root despite the weather. I took our oldest practice driving to his friends house and left him there. Then I went shopping for a new top before I went back home again. When I got back the root was gone. Yeah!

Since we had no kids in the house and no dinner either we made reservations at a nice restaurant called “Stekpannan” (the frying pan). We both had fillet of lamb served with potatoe gratin and a sauce provençal. Mmmm. I can really recommend it! Now some corner time in front of a movie and a nice glas of whiskey.

Finally weekend

This week has gone by pretty quickly but still it felt like forever until the weekend arrived. But finally it did. Walking home in a rainy grey city – picking up some dinner on the way. Treated us some nice cheese for afters. And a glass of wine for me. Or two..

Have no plans for the weekend. Besides that we are going to dig up that second root. My husband did the first one last weekend. And maybe – if we get done – we will go and buy something to plant there. I haven’t decided yet what to get.

Rainbow

This morning this beauty appeared across the street over our neighbors house. So pretty! It’s been a very sunny and nice day today but it has rained all night.

Today my oldest had time for lunch with his mother – what a treat! Or – at least for him since I paid for the food – lol. So nice to sit down and have lunch with him every now and then. I hope there will be more opportunities this fall.

Picked up a grilled chicken for dinner (being lazy, I know). Now some time in my corner before it’s time to sneak outside and enjoy the spa.
