Today it was my sister and her oldest daughter’s turn to have a names day and the last couple of years we have celebrated our Karin’s by going to an ice cream place – this time they chose Ölandsglass in Borgholm where they serve one scope of ice-cream (I don’t know how many flavors there was to chose from – a lot), topped with soft ice-cream, whipped cream, topping of your choice (mine is usually toffee.. 😉 ) and then decorated with a biscuit, a piece of chocolate and a jelly raspberry. And it was so delicious. My choice of flavor of the ice-cream was hazelnut.
Another sunny day but very windy. We have not been able to sit outside for dinner many times this summer. Fortunately we have a big table in my parents house where we all can sit together.
A day that started out with an ocean bright as a mirror. Lovely. No wind what so ever and about 18-19 C in the water. Then it started to get a bit windy and we were afraid it might start raining so we decided to serve the afternoon coffee inside. My parents-in-law and my husbands aunt came for a visit. After the coffee the sun arrived so we sat outside for a while and chatted and enjoyed the view. It is always so nice when they stop by here in our paradise. On Thursday we will visit them in Kalmar – they are staying with my mother-in-laws’ aunt.
