Today it almost felt like summer outside. It is so hard to dress in the morning when you have all sorts of degrees and weather during the day.

I had a really good day today with both a lunch date and then a dinner date. First with my BFF and then with my oldest son.

Now we are back home again – tucked in a corner each – enjoying an episode of “Elementary” before it is time to cheer on  Tre Kronor in their fifth game in the tournament. Facing Germany tonight.

PS! Won 4-3 after a way too scary game..

Important game tonight – facing Canada. I have great faith in our team but tonight I think we might need some luck too..

It was raining really bad this morning – then the sun came out for a bit and it got really warm. But now black clouds are starting to move back in over the sky again. We’ll see what they might bring.

PS! We lost 4-6 after taken the lead 3-0 in the first period.

After work I met up with two of my friends. We go a long way back and have been able to stay in touch through the years. We started school back in 1975 and in 1995 we decided to have a class reunion. It was a big success with 23 out of 26 members of the old class attending. So, we had another reunion in 2005 which was almost as well attended as the first one. Now, it’s been another 10 years so we thought we would give it a go again and met up to check out a few choices of restaurants and also discuss dates and form of invitation.

We have a plan! Let’s hope we manage to pull it off this time too!

Monday again. And a whole week this week. Next week we have days off again. Spring is great that way!

Made myself a real treat for lunch today – an omelette filled with creamed mushrooms. And some grated cheese. Mmmm.

Third game on today. And I am home to watch it. Life is not so bad. Go Sweden!

PS! We won 8-1 towards Latvia. 20 goals in the first 3 games. Not bad. Keep it up! Canada, France, Switzerland and Germany left to face in our pool.

Oh, I really love these long weekends when you get that one day extra. Makes such a huge difference.

Last night we were treated this lovely cake with a deep purple rose on. Mmm. May is a good month – lots of occasions for the family to gather together. And lots of sports too..

The sun is shining today and I need to get out and enjoy it. I have already started one laundry and changed the linnen in our beds. So I deserve a cup of coffee and a minute in my corner. Then I will go out for a bit. But I will return around noon and cheer on our Tre Kronor playing their second game in this years edition of the World Championships in IceHockey.

PS! We won 6-1 towards Austria..

Happy birthday dear niece! Can’t believe how time flies – you are turning 16 today – quite a young lady!

After a day with both work and a lot of guests over for dinner it was nice to be lazy and get a take-out for dinner. And when my youngest can choose – a big pan pizza it is.

Anxiously awaiting the game tonight – the world championships in ice hockey is about to start. We are facing Czechia who is the host country for the tournament. May the best team win (and let’s hope their colors are yellow and blue.. )

PS.. We won the game after some struggle .. 6-5 after over time. 2 points .. a real nightmare but what a great game!

The yearly celebration of Valborg – with our family enjoying a nice dinner, watching the bonfire and spending time together.

There was a lot of people by the fire, as usual. It was a bit chilly but hardly no rain. I wish the celebrations would be more like they used to – when a choir would welcome spring with the traditional Valborg- and May 1st hymns, when some politician held a speech and the evening was ended with a big firework. Nowadays it is almost only the fire itself that keeps the tradition going. I can easily do without all the lotteries and tivoli rides. But I guess it is fun for the kids.

Don’t know what happened to the first couple of days this week – already Wednesday and I’ve been a busy bee all day.

Life can be a challenge sometimes. Then it is nice to know you have family and friends around.

I long for summer and sunshine. It was raining this morning but the sun was shining when I walked back from the subway after work. Just got home before it started to rain for a bit again.
