Work work

Long day at work – stayed in town for a late dinner before I went back home too. It was a nice way to end the day. I have an app in my mobile that looks up the time tables for allimage the choices in traveling and the app said going by commuter train and then bus was the quickest way for me to get home at that hour. Pretty handy those things.

The photo is showing Stuvsta Torg – nothing opened but the lights still on to not leave the square completely dark, I guess. The famous Loffes Grill (the building on the left) – opened back in 1963 and has been serving hotdogs and later on burgers etc ever since. It’s a family owned business and the second generation has taken over. People are traveling from near and far to buy their food.

Back again

First day back to work after the time home. Felt really good to be back –IMG_20121018_213300 my colleagues kept me busy all day so time just flew away. Just the way I like it.

Laundry – done, grocery shopping – done. Now time to get some dinner on the table. Taco-night for the kids – still not sure what to make for us. Maybe leftovers. Or fish. Or something else from the freezer.

November

The first day of November. A very grey day, slightlyimage windy, no sunshine but quite warm (10C). A perfect day to do nothing.

We all enjoyed the Bond-movie last night – it was better than the reviews given – and afterwards we went to dinner at a restaurant nearby the theatre. We ended the evening at ours enjoying the “Så mycket bättre” and some goodies. Lovely!

Tomorrow life goes back to normal again. Fall break is over and school and work awaits. The bouquet of flowers is still gorgeous – all the lilies have started to bloom – and there is still a couple of chocolates left in the box. Great with the evening coffee!

Last day

of Octwpid-wp-1414846406890.jpegober. Time to remember the ones who are no longer with us.

Alla Helgons Dag. Always celebrated on a Saturday between October 31 and Nov 6. Not to be mixed up with Allhelgonadagen – which is always celebrated on Nov 1. Confusing? Japp.

And to make it even more confusing – we also have Halloween which is traditionally celebrated on October 31. This year Halloween and Alla Helgons Dag takes place on the same day.

Today we are going to see the new Bond-movie Spectre together with my sister and her family. All eight of us. Maybe we will go out for dinner together afterwards. Make an evening out of it. Nice.

More needles

Friday again. Enjoying the gorgeous flowers my colleagues sent imageus. And the chocolates. It is a nice feeling to be missed and appreciated. Gives me strength.

Crashed in my corner after a visit to my miracle worker – after a couple of more needles my shoulder is starting to come back to me again. I hate when my body isn’t cooperating and my patience is not great for the moment so it doesn’t take much right now for me to be miserable. But, as the old song says “the only way is up”. So, let’s start climbing.

TbT

ThrowBack Thursday today. On Facebook I have been challenged to pimageost a photo that is at least 15 years old five days in a row. Today I posted pic #4 and this one was taken by an old friend of mine back in – hm – 82/83? I love these old pics – especially the ones both me and my little sister are in together.

I really enjoy looking at old photos – and not just the people in the photos – the environments are just as fun to see. What our house looked like way back then. The wallpapers, furniture. People too of course – what they were wearing, haircuts, glasses etc. Memories to cherish.

New day. New view. I must say I prefer this one. Even thouimagegh we don’t have a big slide in our backyard anymore. And we have replaced the sandbox with a flower box. The swings have also been replaced by a huge oval trampoline but it’s tucked away for the winter now though.

It was frost all over the garden this morning and -2C on the thermometer. Clear blue sky and sunshine. So pretty.

This imagewas the view we could enjoy all day from the 8th floor of the hospital. A day that started with sunshine and got more and more cloudy as the day went by. Fall is so beautiful at this time of year with all the colors and fresh air.

Now we are back home again and I have enjoyed a hot bath, home made dinner and now a glass of red in my corner. I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight. But first some tv-time in my corner.

Autumn

“The falling leaves. Drift by my window. The falling leaves of redimage and gold. I see your lips, the summer kisses, the sunburned hands I used to hold.

Since you went away the days grow long – and soon I’ll hear old winter’s song. But I miss you most of all my darling. When autumn leaves start to fall.

I miss you most of all my darling- when autumn leaves start to fall”

This song – Autumn Leaves” – was performed by Eva Cassidy (words by Jacques Prevert, music by Joseph Kosma and English translation by Johnny Mercer). She passed away way too early at the age of 33. She has made a bunch of timeless classics – enjoy them on YouTube!

Winter..

Lastimage night we changed our clocks – now it is wintertime and we could allow ourselves a sleep-in. It was quite welcome – we are all exhausted right now with all the worry and sudden change of plans.

Me and my youngest designed and cut the pumpkin grandma gave us. It’s been decorating our front porch for a couple of weeks now but Halloween is getting closer and we thought it was time to turn the pumpkin into a lantern instead. And so we did.
