More snow

Had an early appointment this morning for a yearly checkup (everything was fine) so it was quite dark outside when I waited for my bus. It’s been snowing some more during the night and it is quite cold so I guess the snow will stay for a while.

A very busy day today and I was hoping to get off early but I had to stay for a bit anyway. Me and my colleague managed to go out for lunch together – lovely! So nice to have lunch outside the office every once in a while and this week we managed to do it twice.

Weekend – here we come!

Afterwork

A long day with a lot of fun elements. First I met up with an old friend for lunch – haven’t seen him since last June. We had a lot to talk about!

Then after work I walked over to Clarion Sign to see my old colleagues from HP. It’s a gathering where people who worked at HP before 2002 are welcome. And it’s always very well attended with about 50 people who really enjoy spending an evening together chatting, catching up and sharing memories from back-in-the-day. Can’t wait for next time!

Pasta

Woahh what a day. Busy with preparations and meetings all day. Switched my schedule due to an afternoon meeting so I can get off early on Friday. Nice.

Tonight my hubby is out with his work – I have an afterwork-event tomorrow meeting my old colleagues from HP. Made a pasta bolognese for me and the boys tonight. Turned out ok. Good enough for my youngest to want to bring with him for lunch tomorrow. Nice when he can save some money and not having to buy lunch every day.

Second best

Our company was one of the nominated law firms to become Lawfirm of the Year and today they announced the result in the different categories. Our company didn’t win, unfortunately, but we achieved an honorable second place. Better luck next year, I guess. But so nice to even be one of the nominated firms among all the firms. So, I’m proud anyway.

This morning it was -11C and snow again. Bummer. Spring will have to wait a while longer. We could see in our cameras in paradise that it’s been snowing a lot down there too. So, no idea to drive there either.

Snow

Monday again and this morning our garden was once again covered in snow. But, it melted away within a couple of hours.

I’ve been cleaning some this afternoon – a never ending story. Lol. I must say I prefer chores that I can finish before things that keep coming back. But, it is nice when it’s done.

Miss this view from the guest room at mom and dads in Vacaville. So nice with this sunrise – love it. I can’t believe it’s been more than two months since we went over there. Time flies.

Day to rest

My hubby brought me a bouquet of flowers after work on Friday. Lovely! Mixed tulips but also some branches of fur tree which smells really nice. On the third day and the flowers still look amazing.

I have changed the curtains in our living room and bedroom today – slowly taking out the winter and welcoming spring. We will also take down the outdoor lights – but maybe not today. We’ll see.

The weekends pass by too quickly – I want another couple of days off!

Mello – 1

First out – Malmö! This years host is Carina Berg – I’m sure she will be great.

30 acts have been selected to compete in this year’s edition, which sees a change as instead of four semi finals and a second chance round, we will have five semi finals prior to the Grand Final. The top two songs of each semi final will automatically qualify for the Grand Final, which the 3rd and 4th placed acts will go to the “run-off vote” round which will take place at the end of the fifth semi final, and an additional two acts will be given a place in the final 12. The final will take place in “Friends Arena” in Stockholm on the 9th of March.

We start up together with dinner at my sisters house – we are bringing the snacks for the evening.

Part 1:
1. Adam Woods – Supernatural – run-off vote
2. Samir & Viktor – Hela världen väntar
3. Melina Borglowe – Min melodi
4. Elisa Lindström – Forever Yours – run-off vote
5. Lisa Ajax – Awful Liar – finale
6. Smash Into Pieces – Heroes Are Calling – finale

Lunch treat

Friday and back at the office again. A busy day but me and my colleague managed to have lunch out of the office for a change. Lovely. We went to Bouqueria – we love their food – and I had a fish “Wallenbergare” with mash and melted butter. Mmmm.

I found another training (thank you, sis) via my union that I will attend next week. Perfect. It’s a short (40 min) online course with the content I was looking for. And it’s free of charge too!

Made a nice beef dinner tonight which turned out great. A lovely start of the weekend! And now we have season 4 of True Detective (on HBO Max) to enjoy! Starring Jodie Foster.

Training

Today I participated in an online course so I decided to attend from home instead of going into the office. Perfect. It was a 6hr training so it took most of the day and was about “Fundamental Work Environment”. Interesting!

I’ve been selected safety representative at work so I need to learn more about my new role – what rights and obligations I have towards my co-workers and my employer. This training covered some of this but I need to find another training that is more focused on this role specifically.
