Grand opening

This morning all my colleagues were invited to come back to work on-site and see our new office. So exciting! Almost everyone was able to attend and we got a lot of positive feedback on our hard work. Great!

First day in weeks that I didn’t put in any overtime. And fingers crossed I will be able to work a short day tomorrow.

Tonight hubby is out with his old work colleagues so it is just me and the boys at home. We had roast beef with pasta for dinner and I’ve done some laundry, taken care of my flowers and now I’m going thru my emails, messages and website. Soon time to hug my pillow.

Game night

Another long day – very busy getting the office ready for our colleagues tomorrow. So exciting! Still some bits and pieces left but overall most things are in place. Puh.

Met up with my dad after work and we had dinner together before the game. Nice to sit down and chat for a bit! Our team had massive support tonight with over 27.000 people in the audience. And we managed to win 5-1 towards Varberg. Yeah! Important to win these last games if we are going to stand a chance. Only five more games this season.

Flower bulbs

Managed to sleep in a little this morning but I’ve been so tired all day. It’s been another sunny day so we’ve been outside working in the garden for a bit. I planted all the bulbs I bought yesterday and hubby has cut some more in the apple trees.

My parents stopped by for a coffee this afternoon – lovely to see them. I had baked a red velvet-cake which turned out pretty good.

Tonight I had chatted on face-time with one of my dear friends who live in California. We decided to make it a regular thing – lovely. She asked me to come over for a visit and I would really love to. Might try to make it happen. Maybe next year. That would be amazing.

Fancy treat

A lovely sunny Saturday so we started the day in the spa which is situated perfectly for the morning sun. I went to get some new bulbs for the garden this afternoon. Will plant them tomorrow. Hopefully we will have a garden filled with blooming flowers this spring.

Tonight we had made reservations at a fancy restaurant called “La Tour” which is situated on the 23rd floor in a building in the city. And what an evening. A clear sky and almost a full moon. The service was immaculate. The food was stunning. Four courses all made to perfection.

After dinner the waiter offered to show us around the restaurant. They have 3-4 chambre-separés for companies between 6-12 people. The main restaurant only served 5 tables which made it extra special. And with a view like this one – who can not be impressed?

A lovely evening and finally we were able to make time to go. And I’m so happy that the evening was a success since it is quite pricy.

27th anniversary

27 years ago today me and my hubby were married. Time flies. When I got home from another long workday he had bought me flowers and a theme-present (balsa this time). Tomorrow we are going out to a fancy restaurant to celebrate. Lovely!

Today the pre-sale tickets were released for Depeche Mode and their concert at Friends this May and since I am a member I could get my hands on two of those tickets. Yeah! The concert is on May 23rd so I guess we will not celebrate my son that day. Lol. He didn’t want to come along – neither of them did – so it will be only me and Peter this time.

“Home-work”

Worked a couple of hours from home this morning – early start from 07.00. Then I took a couple of hours break to take my son to his appointment. Could get some me-time while waiting and treated myself a coffee and a visit to the room for reflection and meditation to light a candle and breathe for a bit.

We went back home and had lunch together. Afterwards I went into work and had to stay over for about an hour due to the electricians wanting to finish some work. When I finally got home my hubby had made dinner so I could just sit down with my family and enjoy. Perfect. Thank you!

New street

Our new office is a lot closer to the subway station than our old office. Just one block up. Perfect. This is the block towards my workplace and our office is situated on the top floor on the funny-looking building in the middle of this photo.

We’ve been working hard all day – another 10-hrs shift – and we have come a long way. Starts to feel like we might actually be able to finish within not too long. Great. Still a lot left to do though.

It is getting dark so early now. A bit of a rainy cloudy day which probably adds to the darkness. A few more weeks before we change over to winter time.

Construction

Yesterday our new kitchen area was all empty, tidy and ready for final inspection. We brought a table in to have a place to sit down for lunch.

Today we got all the new furniture delivered so now this kitchen (and the rest of the premises) is completely filled with boxes and stuff that needs sorting. Puh.

Tonight my dad called and invited me to join him for a soccer game on Monday. Fun! Great start on next week!

Morning fogg

This morning my alarm went off at 05.30 and an hour later I was waiting for my bus at this foggy busstop.

A very busy long day but everything has worked more or less according to plan. Another busy day awaits tomorrow. Then we will hand over the keys to our old office. Puh.

My youngest made spagetti bolognese for us for dinner tonight. Delicious! He will manage well the day he moves out! After dinner we sat in the spa for a bit and now we’ve enjoyed a piece of his apple crumble while watching the last episode of the dragons.

Apple crumble

A rainy Sunday – perfect for watching series on the TV after completing the round of chores.

Our youngest made us apple crumble for our afternoon tea. Turned out great. Served with some vanilla custard and hot tea. Mmm.

I’m making an Hungarian casserole called “Pörkölt” consisting of veal and paprika among other things. It’s supposed to be cooking for 4-6 hrs so all afternoon. Fingers crossed it will be worth the wait.
