A day filled with a lot of things. Now I’m making pasta bolognese for dinner and then we’re just going to relax and do as little as possible the rest of the evening. My oldest has evening classes (poor thing – I believe he has a test tonight too) and will have his dinner later on. He went out for a long walk this afternoon by himself – great that he is making an effort.
A really wintery day with some new snow too. It’s been a lovely day with clear blue sky (when it wasn’t snowing) – I hope it will be that tomorrow too so I can take an afternoon walk!
Frozen beauty
New week already. Don’t know what happened to the weekend – they go by way too quickly.
I did as my sister suggested and put my tulips in my mold and filled it with water and let it freeze. It was hard work to get it out of the mold for some reason, but it turned out great! I put a light in it and placed it outside our front door and I love it! Thank you for the idea!
I made pulled pork for dinner and served it with tortilla chips and all the taco accessories. The boys liked it so that was great!
Snowy Sunday
It was snowing a lot when we woke up this morning, but then it stopped and the blue sky arrived. This photo was taken yesterday – my husband went cross-country skiing and I took a 3 k walk in the lovely weather.
Today we went to pick up a few more things for our renovation of our bedroom such as paint, paper to cover the floor etc. Tried to order the furniture again but IKEA still has delivery-problems with some of the things. So, we just have to wait a while longer.
Going to make a nice beef with potato gratin for Sunday dinner. Have a nice evening everyone!

Time for the first part of the Melodifestivalen. Due to the pandemic all shows will take place in Annexet, Stockholm Globe Arena, without an audience. As this is the last Melodifestivalen for Christer Björkman – the man in charge behind the scenes and producer since 20 years – he will host all the six shows with a different co-host each Saturday. First out is Lena Philipsson.
Due to the pandemic we will not be able to meet up with our friends and watch it together either – so we will hook up via Zoom before and maybe after to see each other this way for a bit. Difficult times require new ways to reach the goal.

Weekend here we come
Friday arrived – and the work-part of the day was filled with meetings and a lot to do.
The painter stopped by to look at our bathroom – we noticed there is a small gap in the ceiling above the shower. He agreed with us and will come back in a week to fix it. Great.
We picked up some pizza and kebab w/ fries for dinner and then we watched “På Spåret” and some other programs to relax and enjoy a quiet Friday eve together. Let the weekend begin!
Throw-back-Thursday
A long day with a lot to consider. But, I got a lot done. Made pork with bulgur for dinner. Now I’m really tired and crashed in my corner.
Throw-back-Thursday – TBT – and I found this old favorite picture of my grandmother and my sons. I miss her so much and this pictures makes my heart smile. We had such a great visit – I wonder what she would say if she saw my boys today. They look quite different from when this photo was taken back in 2003 (or maybe 2004).
And then some..
Another day filled with snowy weather. My outdoor lamps are no where to be found (lol) – should dig them out and remove the batteries.
A busy day at work and promised to be on stand-by this afternoon so I stayed at home and did some laundry instead. And I worked some too – glad I could help. Sausages for lunch and burgers for dinner. Nothing too exciting, I’m afraid.
Snowing all day
Today it’s been snowing all day long. We have been outside shoveling snow several times. Well, my husband has. I did the short path out to our mailbox, so I helped some.
Made this light out of ice – it shines so pretty in the evenings on our front porch.
Made oven baked pork tonight served with boiled potatoes, brown sauce and elder berry jelly. Mmmm. Now some tv before it’s time to hug the pillow. Oh – might finish my book tonight (the Kepler-one I got for Xmas – The Mirror Man). It’s quite good. Scary!
Walk after work
New week. Where did this weekend go? Way too fast. -12C this morning but it got warmer as the day went. I worked a short day today and after I had some lunch I went for a long walk in the lovely weather. Met my mother who was also out for a bit. Nice to see her! I long for spring so we can see each other more often – when it is easier to have a coffee outside again. Right now it is way too cold.
I made yakiniku with rise for dinner today. So tricky to get inspiration of what to make. But, I guess it is a luxury problem. Not a real one.
