Here comes the sun

Almost as cold today as it was yesterday. The sun was shining from a clear blue sky and even a halo was decorating the sky. A part of it is shown in this photo. Beautiful!

My husband went cross country skiing in the lovely weather and I took a quick walk. So much fun sports on tv today, I had a hard time leaving my corner. Skiing, track & field and then finally the grand finale of the world championship in handball.

It was a very close game but we lost 24-26 towards Denmark. But – what an amazing tournament our young team has performed. So proud! And the next world championship (2023) will be held here in Sweden with start and finish in Stockholm. Would be so much fun if we could attend!

Brrrr. Really cold today. My old tulips look very pretty in our compost – something to brighten up the white/grey world we live in right now. My sis suggested I’d put them in a bucket of water and freeze them – might try that! Maybe next time – these ones have been out there all day already and don’t look so nice tonight.

We chose carpet today for our indoor stairs – a dark grey one. We borrowed a bunch of samples and took them home to see which one to chose and we all decided together.

Now I’m going to watch the music gala on TV4. Have a nice evening!

Semi and online games

Friday already and time for the exciting semi finals in handball. But first a long walk in the forrest with my son after work. It was a lot of snow so it took us a bit extra long time to complete. 10000 steps later we arrived back home.

The semi final was towards France of all countries. And we managed to win!!! Final here we come! Facing Denmark who defeated Spain. Yeah. A fun Sunday awaits. What a great tournament with no losses so far. Amazing.

Tonight we have played online games with my sister w/ family for a couple of hours. A great ending of the week. Glad we have found a way to spend time together during the pandemic.

Long day

A very snowy and cold week. Long Thursday. Almost weekend. Longing for spring. At least it is a bit brighter outside with the snow on the ground.

Cleaned carpet number two today but that’s about the only time I have been outside. Served pasta for lunch and pork for dinner. Made the broccoli-rise my sister suggested we’d try and served it together with rise tonight. Not bad. But, I think we prefer regular broccoli. But fun to try something new.

A tiger sponge cake is in the oven – a little treat for my snow-shoveling men working hard outside digging out our car and spa.

We managed to win the handball game last night – yeah! Semi-finals here we come. Facing France tomorrow night. Can’t wait!

Cleaning carpets

My mother suggested that we make use of the snow and clean our home made rya carpets. Said and done. Now it is hanging to dry in our drying cabinet – all freshened up!

I’m quite tired today – going to relax this afternoon to see if it helps. I did sleep my hours last night though.

Tonight we are playing quarter final towards Qatar in the handball world cup. So exciting and nerv wrecking at the same time.

Snow snow ☃️

This morning the man who will change the carpet in our indoor stairs stopped by to measure and prepare a quote for us to decide. Fun!

Long day at work and it’s been snowing basically all day. Made a sallad for lunch and now we’ve just finished a dinner with oven baked cod served with boiled potatoes, green peas and clarified butter. Yum! Our youngest had a piece of my lasagna. Our oldest will eat later – he has evening classes on Tuesdays this semester, between 5-8PM.

Going to go out to the spa in a bit – just need to digest the food first. Perfect ending of a hectic day.

More snow

It’s been snowing all day today and now the winter wonderland is back. My new tulips sure brightens up my day decorating the table where I work.

Short day of work today. My husband had a work assignment really early this morning (started at 4 AM) so he got off early too. So he and our youngest went back to the store and took care of the guarantee matter. They replaced the headphones without any questions.

Made a lasagna this afternoon which was great for dinner. And plenty of leftovers for the next day or so. Lovely.

We managed to win last night in the handball world cup and now we are facing the quarter finals. Against whom isn’t decided yet – the last round is today.

Sunday already

My husband prepared the bread baking machine last night so this morning we woke up to warm freshly baked bread. Yum. A quiet day with not much on the schedule.

After lunch we took a nice quick walk in the foggy surroundings. A lot of people out walking though. Now some more ski-events to enjoy on the TV – love the biathlon races but Sweden has had some back luck this weekend. Fingers crossed we will have better luck tonight in the last handball game in this round.

This weekend went by way too fast. Last week took a lot of my energy and I had hoped I would have regained some more than I have so far.

Weekend

Already Saturday and they all look a lot the same. We go grocery shopping after breakfast and pass the waste disposal site on the way to throw away all our separated waste that the garbage collection truck don’t pick up.

My husband and youngest went to try to claim a guarantee matter at Webhallen but it was too crowded so they decided to wait and go there another day instead. While they were gone I vacuumed and wet moped downstairs.

We treated ourself a really nice steak for dinner, served with stir-fried veggies (zucchini, sugar peas and leek) and potato gratin. Served with a nice glas of Zinfandel (for me – soft drinks for the others).

Pyssel – AW

Kram!
