Como

Sunday and a very rainy day. We changed our plans around a bit and moved the group activity forward to Monday. A full work-day filled with interesting presentations and discussions with a lovely lunch in a local restaurant on the hill above the hotel.

Como is a small city about 45 km north from Milan and is around 2000 years old. It was moved from the hills down to the grounds by the lake by orders from Julius Caesar. The city has approximately 83 000 inhabitants and is situated in the Lombardy province. A very beautiful area with a lot of luxury homes and 4-star hotels.

We ended the day with a nice dinner at the hotel – great food and conversations and a fun quiz to end another long day.

Moltrasio

A very early start – the alarm went off at 05.40 and then the taxi picked me up an hour later to take me to the airport. We arrived in Milan, Italy, around lunchtime and then a bus took us to our destination Moltrasio by the Lake Como. Since it was a work-trip we had a first session during the afternoon.

In the evening we took the ferry to the city Como at the south-end of the lake and had a nice dinner at a traditional Italian restaurant. Afterwards we took a taxi back to the hotel – which was nearly impossible since the president of Ukraine was visiting Como. Very tired after a long day we arrived back at the hotel and it was time to hug the pillow.

Getting ready

Last day at the office for a couple of days – tomorrow morning we are going on a work-trip to Italy and we’ll be back very late Tuesday evening. Our company is celebrating 20 years this year so it will be a special trip with both serious parts but also some fun.

I picked up some nice steaks on my way home and treated my boys to a delicious dinner. We have bought lottery tickets on most of our Saturday grocery shopping for a couple of years but since I’m not here tomorrow night I bought the tickets today instead. And we won 90kr! Fun! A welcome contribution to next weekends purchase!

I have packed my bags and I think I’m happy with what’s in them. The terrible weather forecast has changed for the better so that’s good. Hopefully it will continue to improve!

27C

Another day with summer temperature. Amazing. Tricky to know what to wear though because of the big difference in temperature over the day.

Long quite busy day at work – feeling a bit extra tired after a day like this one. Nice to come home to a set table and dinner almost ready to be served. Lovely! Hubby had made chicken filet with noodles. Yum!

Fogg

This morning it was a very heavy fog all around the neighborhood. The leaves on our hedge are turning into their fall colors. September arrived and fall with it.

Then as the day went by the fog disappeared and the sun came out. Lovely warm weather – summer was back for a bit. Strange.

We received some more information regarding our upcoming work-trip so now I need to re-think some of my packing. And the weather prognosis isn’t great either so a rain-coat will definitely be packed.

Pyssel hos S – 3 sep

Rainy start

This morning the rain was pouring down so I wore my raincoat going to work. When I left to go home it was raining just as much but when I got back home the sun was shining. It feels like fall is on the way. And it is September now so today we start with our winter-time at work again. Back to normal.

A quiet afternoon at home – just what I needed. I’m going to prepare dinner in a bit. Pork and rice in a pot. Something all four of us enjoy. Lovely.

Apple pie and Finnkampen

Sunday already. The weekends go by way too quick. We managed to sleep in a bit this morning after a late return home after the party last night.

Baked another apple crumble pie today since we had my parents-in-law over for afternoon coffee. It was nice to see them – haven’t seen them in ages so it was good to sit down and chat for a bit.

My parents are on their way back home from Finland and the competition Finnkampen they have attended. For the first time in 26 years Sweden lost both the women- and the men competition. But, our boys and girls managed to win so that’s good for the future.
Men Sweden – Finland – 225 – 228
Women Sweden – Finland – 224,5 – 229,5
Boys Sweden – Finland – 118 – 102
Girls Sweden – Finland – 114 – 108
