Busy afternoon

Midweek already and my short day. Lovely. A good day at work with plenty of things getting done – great.

Stopped to pick up a package on my way from work and then I took a walk home to get some extra steps in. Picked up the drop-fruit when I got home and made a new apple crumble pie to treat the boys and hubby. Done the laundry and also prepared dinner. Puh.

A thought to my god-daughter today! Love you! Enjoy the treat!

Lunch out

Tuesday and long day at work so we went out for lunch. We have found a real gem and new favorite close to where we work called “Napolyon” which serves great food in a nice environment. Dish of the day was cod with chanterelles, cauliflower puree, shellfish sauce and watercress. Mmm.

Now we’ve crashed with a cup of tea infront of the tv after a nice dinner with the family. Made pasta with burgers. Not bad.

Work

Time to get back on the horse again, so to speak, and start working. The subway didn’t cooperate at all, no surprises there, but I just made it in time.

Short day to start with and I’ve been a busy bee this afternoon finishing my photo album from last year.. Finally! Should probably start on this years too while I’m at it. Nice to get a head start.

Noticed we have two episodes left of “All creatures great and small” (I vår herres hage) – so that’s what we are going to enjoy tonight along with a cup of tea and these goodies (along with some apple pie…).

Apple crumble

Hubby completed the race last night and had an ok result – missed his goal a bit but did very well. The amount of hill-practice in our paradise equals zero .. lol.

We’ve been working outside today and I made an apple crumble pie from our own fruit. Plenty more apple to go so more pies, I’m sure.

Going to make a steak dinner tonight and then crash a bit infront of the TV. Last day before work starts again tomorrow. Where did this summer go? But it was a good one!

Away win

Nice to have a whole weekend before it’s time to start working again. Today we went to pick up my hubby’s t-shirt and tracker for the 10k run he is participating in tonight – Midnattsloppet. I will stay home with the boys and cheer from my corner following his run on the computer.

Went over to my parents to watch the away-game on TV this afternoon – and we managed to win 3-0. Yeah! Great game. We have a bad track-record towards this team so this win was extra important for the self-confidence boost.

Made pasta with chicken tonight – good to fill up with some carbohydrates before participating in a run. Fingers crossed he will manage to run on the time he has set up for himself!

Drive back

This morning my hubby went with us for our dip in the ocean before breakfast for the first time this summer. Nice!

After breakfast we packed our things, closed up our paradise and started the long drive back to the real world again. We arrived safely about 7hrs later with no problems on the road besides a construction which slowed us down a bit. Me and my dad took turns driving so that was good.

When we got home we went to get groceries after unpacking the car and now we’ve had a nice dinner together the four of us for the first time in a month. Lovely! So good to see our youngest again!

Last day

Every morning I sit in my hanging chair for a few minutes while waiting for my parents. Then the three of us goes down to the ocean for a dip before breakfast. Lovet it. For some reason, at this time during the day the weather is usually this nice. A perfect way to start the day and that we all cherish very much.

Today we have cleaned everything and packed away all the outdoor things. So nice to have everything in order so we get a fresh start next summer. We will return this fall though and over Easter but then we won’t need most of the outdoor furniture and decorations.

Made chicken for dinner and it turned out pretty good. Treated my uncle to some too – perfect food for him to heat up tomorrow.  I hope he enjoys it.

Putting things away

Twelve years ago we buried my furry companion here in our paradise. She had been by my side for 22 years and the loss of her is still present. My sister has made this concrete heart for her and I have decorated it with small pebbles. This year it needed some TLC so I painted the pebbles in her name in black to make it more visible. I think it turned out nicely.

Today we have started to put things away for the winter. There is a lot to do so we need a couple of days to spread out the chores. Also, we are still using some of the things.

It’s is slightly chillier in the air this week but still nice and sunny. Lovely morning swims every day all summer. Something to remember when we are back in the real world again. I am so grateful for our paradise and that we all can be here together as a family. So precious!

Haircut

After lunch today me and my mom drove in to town to look around for a bit before we had our appointments at the hairdresser. We were recommended a salon and hairdresser by my second-cousin who lives here. Both me and my mom were happy with the result so I’m sure we’ll go there again.

Afterwards we meat up with the guys to go out to dinner together. We wanted to try a restaurant called “Veranda” who had great pizzas and they were really good! Nice waiters and quick service. And a doggybag for the leftovers – great!

Now a glass of fizz with my mom while watching the last “Allsång på Skansen” this season.

Last week

One more week in our paradise before it’s time to get back to the real world again. Or, almost a week anyway – we’re leaving on Friday. A bit homesick, I guess, mainly because I miss our youngest who is at home.

Today my parents went to see some friends in Småland so I have been a busy bee by myself doing laundry and also finished the front porch and the outdoor shower with a coat of wood protection / oil.

A lot of waves this morning but completely calm during the day. This evening we got some new algae – I hope they will be gone tomorrow.

Tonight we are cheering on our team from the couch instead of at the arena. It was fun to attend the away-game last week – tonight they are playing on our stadium so we’re watching it on TV. Go Bajen!
