This morning it was a really lovely weather – nice start of the new week. I worked a short day today and decided to take a walk back from the subway to enjoy the day and get some steps in. The lake was still frozen and covered with ice – but not enough to walk or skate on.
Made a liver casserole for dinner tonight – pork filet for the boys. Now we’ve been catching up on an episode of “Bäst i Test” and then the last couple of episodes of “Nora Sand”. Some coffee flavored ice cream and a nice cup of tea while watching the shows.
Finale Swedish cup
Sunday already. The weekends go by way too quick. Slept in a bit today and then after breakfast I made a lasagna to have it ready for dinner.
This afternoon we met up at my parents to celebrate my dad with the whole family. M was not there though since he had made plans with his friends. But, the rest of us was.
After the celebrations I stayed together with my oldest niece to watch the handball finale in the Swedish Cup on TV. Unfortunately we lost 33-32 but managed to get a silver. We got a bad start and didn’t really recover after that. Oh well. In a couple of weeks we have the next game to watch live – something fun to look forward to!

Friday treat
Friday already. This week has gone by pretty quick for some reason.
It’s been a lovely day with blue sky and sunshine. Still cold in the morning with -6C but a couple of degrees above 0C during the day.
Me and my colleague went to Val du Ville for lunch – they served beuf bourguignon with pureed potatoes for today’s special. It was delicious! We must go back there sometime.
My parents are away for a few days to attend a funeral of an old friend. I hope they are ok and that they had an ok day after all. Nice that they are able to go there and say their goodbyes.
New member
A historic day. Sweden is as of today a member of Nato. The 32nd ally.
Two years of waiting for two countries to make their minds up. But, finally the day arrived when all the papers got signed and all the approvals were given. Not sure what I think about all of this but now it’s a point of no return.
Our youngest didn’t have to start as early today as yesterday but he worked late so it was a long day anyway. Good with the extra pay though.
Made burgers for dinner tonight and now I’m watching some TV on my own. Hubby is studying for another certification and my oldest is upstair.
Sunshine
Midweek already and lovely weather today. It has been quite chilly during the nights but warmed up a bit as the day has gone by. This photo was taken when me and my son walked back from the subway a few days ago. I thought we’d go for another walk today but we had other things that needed to be taken cared of.
My youngest has extra long days now. They needed everyone to work some extra due to something needing to be done. So he left at 5 this morning and won’t be home until late. Depending on how much they get done he will continue with these hours for another couple of days. What at trooper!
Best dad
Today we celebrate our dad! Congratulations! Flag up for you!
Since both our parents are having a slight cold just me and my sis went over there to give him his presents and congratulate him. We had a lovely visit and were treated raspberry swiss roll and coffee. Mmm.
Thank you for tonight and hope you had a good day with a lot of phone calls and greetings online. Love you!
Lunch date
Very cold start of the day and the forecast is promising below 0C every night / morning the next week or so. But, as the day went by it got quite nice out with sunny weather and blue sky.
Invited my oldest into town for lunch and he was up for it so that was nice. We had lunch at Icha Icha at Mood Galleria and afterwards we took a nice walk back home from the subway station. Lovely.
This afternoon I have helped him getting started with his LinkedIn profile and we managed to get quite far. Just some bits and pieces left and he is good to go. Yeah.
Vasaloppet 100
Slept in a bit this morning and when I got up I watched the Vasaloppet on TV for a bit. Today it is the 100s time this ski-competition takes place. Amazing. Love these old traditions. A Norwegian, Torleif Syrstad, won.
Change of plans today so I’ve been lazy and haven’t really done that much. But I have installed my new computer though – with a little help from my youngest. The new computers are able to clone old computers nowadays so it wasn’t as tricky as I feared it might be. Fun with something new! Have had my old computer for about 13 years and it is giving up so I wanted to replace it while it was still possible to clone it. So I treated myself!
Love this little daffodil my sister gave me yesterday. Hope for spring!
Mello – 5 and the run-off
Fifth out – Karlstad!
Tonight we are going to be at our house again – being a bit lazy this time getting a take-out. Maybe pizza – we’ll see.
