Our youngest came back safe and sound this afternoon after his ski-trip with his friends. Good to have him back home again and I think they have had a great time. I’m glad!
Me and my colleague went out for lunch after work to a nice place in the Gallerian where we’ve been a couple of times. We had a very “Hammarby”-looking dish – all green and white – lol. It was steam baked haddock with herb sauce and mash with parmesan and garlic. Really tasty!
Tonight we can enjoy a nice dinner all together as a family again. Lovely!
Win 33-26
Since I was going to a game tonight I switched my Wednesday and Thursday schedule so I worked my full day today and get of early tomorrow instead. Lovely.
Met up with my parents and two of their friends outside the handball arena. Three more games before the finals start – facing the leading team tonight and we are in second place. We can’t advance in the tournament but we still needed to win to not risk being passed by another team. And we won! 33-26 – clear numbers. The arena was sold out and it felt like everybody who had a ticket was there too – amazing 1850 people (I think the arena can take 1800 or something).
Thank you for a fun evening!
New menu
I decided to give my category “Castle-of-the-month” a higher level so I put it up by the rest of the headlines so it is easier to access and look at all the castles we’ve visited so far. If you have any suggestions of castles to see, please leave a comment there.
Today we picked up lunch from DinDin in Mood Galleria and it was really nice. My dish was called “Sneaky Samurai” and had chicken as protein. They have a lot of funny named dishes – all delicious!
Our heating pump broke down last night so hubby stayed at home today to get a service personnel here. Fortunately, it was repairable so he could fix it while he was here. Perfect. Otherwise it would have been a big expense for us if we would have had to replace the whole pump. But, I guess we need to plan for a replacement and save up.
Groceries
A very sunny lovely start of the week but -7C this morning. Brrr.
Since we didn’t have time to get groceries this weekend I thought I’d do that this afternoon instead. My oldest came along to help which was nice. Now I’ve crashed for a bit, worked some and gather some energy to start dinner in a bit.
Our youngest seem to have a great time skiing, as far as we have heard. I’m so glad – he so deserves a wonderful week with his friends.
Cleaning day
Had set the alarm this morning to get up and say good bye to our youngest who is going up north skiing with two of his friends for a few days. He texted this afternoon that they had arrived without any problems. Good.
We’ve been busy bees all day. Hubby has cleaned the spa and I’ve been cleaning indoors. Finished a lot of laundry with blankets and bedspreads – great to have that done!
A lovely sunny day and some crocuses have started to bloom in our garden. Lovely. Spring is on the way! This morning our garden was white of snow though so we’re taking baby steps forward.
Castle of the month – Lejondals slott
The castle of this month is Lejondals Slott in Bro. We made reservations a while back to attend their Saturday Afternoon Tea. Lovely.
The weather could have been better but it was a nice hour long drive to get there and we were treated all kinds of goodies. Scones, jam, pies, cheeses.. and sweets and pastries for dessert.
Lejondals Slott is one of the youngest castles in Sweden built back in 1892. Nowadays it is a place for conferences, weddings and venues.
Cod
Friday again. Me and my colleague went out for a nice lunch at Napolyon close to where we work. We had a great meal of cod with potatoes and a tomato salsa. Mmm. I’m sure we’ll have lunch here again soon!
Made more fish for dinner – panfried flounder with boiled potatoes and remoulade sauce. Mmm. Pork filet for the boys. Now some corner time and watching another couple of episodes of our new Netflix series “The gentleman”.
Weekend – here we come!
Snowdrops
I missed the bus in Fruängen on my way home (no surprises there) so I walked instead. A lot of spring flowers everywhere – didn’t see them a few days ago so they might have started to bloom just now.
Love the snowdrops and the yellow winter aconites. We don’t have any flowers in our garden yet though – or not that I’m aware of anyway.
Made a nice dinner tonight and now we are watching a new episode of the Danish series “Oxen”. It’s quite good! Broadcasted on TV4.
Me-time
Busy day
My morning was filled with meetings and they all went well. All the technique was working and the meetings were productive. Great.
After lunch out it-manager came over and we worked on different matters preparing for our new employees who will arrive within the next couple of months. Fun to have new colleagues again!
Hubby and I took the same subway back from work so we took a walk together the last part and skipped the bus. Nice. Two days in a row that I get my steps in. Perfect.
