Today it has been really unpleasant weather outside with snow and rain all day. No walk after work – just wanted to get back home without getting too soaked.
Got home in one piece and had a late lunch. Did some work and also studied a few chapters on my online course.
Made a taco-dinner and now some corner time. One day down – four to go. Then another weekend to look forward to.
Castle of the month – Tyresö
Yesterday we went to the castle of the month since the weather prognosis was better than on Sunday. So, we went over to Tyresö Castle and enjoyed a lovely lunch! We visited this castle a few years ago on Mother’s Day and then we enjoyed our lunch on the little island on the lake in the back of the castle. So this time we tried the café inside the castle instead. The food was good – I had a large shrimp sandwich and hubby had a salmon pie – and we were happy with our choices.
Woke up early today too. I have a hard time to sleep in on the weekends – I bet I would sleep like a baby on weekdays if I was allowed. Lol. -6C outside this morning and the sun is coming up behind our neighbors house. No big plans for the day so far. Maybe look for our next castle and book something.

Third out – Växjö!
Tonight we are gathering together at my sisters again and mom is coming along. Dad is out watching handball so he has fun too. Our youngest decided to stay at home and the girls are also otherwise busy. So, a different constellation this time.
There has been crazy lot of hype around Gunilla Persson in the press this week – shall be interesting to see if she even shows up or if there is something else that bothers her.. lol.

Weekend again
Finally Friday and weekend again! Last weekend my sis gave me these roses and they are still just as beautiful today one week later. Amazing!
Made a nice ribeye steak for dinner tonight served with some gratin, fried corn and a mushroom sauce for me. Mm.
Now we are watching another couple of episodes of “Fargo” – season 2. Let the weekend begin!
Long day
Another dark foggy day. Not very nice. And a long day – not terribly busy and it felt like a never-ending-story. But, it’s Thursday and weekend is getting closer!
Made a left-over-wok for dinner – our usual Thursday meal. Lol. But, it’s tasty and everybody likes it. This time we had some picanha and pork filet as a base. I always make my own marinade with one equal third of canola oil, mushroom soya sauce and oyster sauce. This marinade works with all kinds of protein – even fish – and is delicious. Try it!
All hearts
Yesterday it was a national theme-day – “semmeldagen” when we enjoy a certain pastry. Today is another national theme-day – or should I say international theme-day – when it is Valentine’s day and we court our partners and loved ones.
My hubby gave me this amazing rose and I gave my three boys a heart filled with candy hearts. Like we always do. But, so nice with traditions and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
Tonight I made a steak of roast beef served with a nice tomato sauce and tagliatelle pasta. Mmm. Love that the four of us can enjoy dinner together almost every day. Every day luxury that I treasure.

Årets första pysselkväll – eller myskväll – med god mat i glada vänners lag iallafall! Bra för själen!
M bjöd på en jättegod kycklinggryta med ris och en härlig kolatårta till fikat. S kunde vara med online! Härligt att samla oss alla igen.
Massor av snö att skotta fram bilen ur men det gick bra att köra. Nu tycker jag att vintern kan vara klar – ser fram emot våren!
Monday
The weekends pass way too quickly. Already Monday and time to get back to work again.
More snow and not very nice outside so I spent my afternoon off at home making some use around the house. I’m hoping for some better weather soon to make me wanna go for a nice long walk with my son. But, no such luck yet.
A quiet evening in our corners watching the last episode of “Sanningen” and another episode of “True Detective”. Then it’s time to call it a night.
Family dinner
A bit tired today to be honest after a late night. But, managed to sleep in a bit for a change.
We met up with my parents-in-law and aunt at a local restaurant to celebrate my mother-in-laws birthday. So nice. Great food and a nice evening together. Thank you for treating us!
We had a power outage this afternoon so we played a boardgame – Age of Innovation – together – me, hubby and M. We didn’t finish before we went out to dinner so we finished the last round when we got back home again. Now a nice cup of tea before it’s time to hug our pillows.

This time we are hosting the evening and my sis is bringing the afters – ice cream this time! I’m making a pork casserole and maybe we’ll open a nice bottle of fizz that we brought from our wine tasting day in Lodi. Special evening requires special treats!
