A busy long day with a stressful ending that went well. All of a sudden we started to smell smoke as from a fire while having a meeting. It turned out to be the restaurant in our building that had turned on their pizza oven.. Lol. So glad that it had a natural explanation and that there was no fire. 

Made burgers and fries for me and my boys tonight. Hubby is out with his old colleagues for a dinner and get-together so he’ll be home later. Now some me-time before he gets back. 

Productive day at work and short day. Lovely weather and anther walk back from the subway. Doing good! 

A quiet afternoon – just what I needed. Have been doing mindfulness things along with some laundry and preparing dinner. Multitasking is my middle name. Lol. 

The weather forecast is looking good the next couple of days. But, they were talking about more snow after the weekend. I hope they are wrong. Still April though which means April weather.. 

Another lovely sunny day and today I had a lunch date with a friend. I enjoyed sushi and she had a red curry with chicken and rise. So nice to catch up a bit and enjoy some time together. Booked a new date next month. 

Did good today too and walked back from the subway after work. It takes me about 25 minutes so it’s a nice walk. 

Now we’ve had dinner and soon it’s time for some evening tea. 

Back to work again after a lovely week off. The weather in our paradise could have been better but today Stockholm really showed off with sunshine from a clear blue sky.

I took a nice walk home from the subway and had to take my coat off because it was so warm. Lovely. 

A nice afternoon catching up on stuff. Had dinner on the table when my hubby arrived back from work. Now some corner time. 

A lovely sunny Sunday and nice to have another day off before it’s time to go back to work again.

After lunch my sis picked up me and our mom to go to my oldest niece new apartment. Fun! So excited for her! Her new place will be perfect for her and now they are renovating it some before she is ready to move in.

Me and mom walked back to their place in time for the away derby game in soccer on TV. I had little hope that we would win (haven’t won in their arena in six or so years.. ) and our team did a very tired game with nothing to show for and we lost fair and square 2-0. Oh well. Better luck next time. My new jersey hasn’t brought any luck so far..

Time to head back home again. Packed our things and started the long drive back after breakfast. It turned out to be a good day on the roads with hardly any traffic at all – not even towards Stockholm. Great. 

Arrived back home in time for dinner. So nice to see my hubby and youngest again and to have a family meal together. They surprised me with a nice birthday present and later on we will have cake for evening coffee. Mmm. They had even remembered to raise the flag – yeah! *feeling appreciated* 

Already longing for our next time in paradise. We’ll see when that might be – maybe for a long weekend in May. 

Thank you everyone for your greetings and wishes! I really appreciate it! Having a birthday is not so bad after all. 

A rainy last day. No walk this morning. But still so nice to be here and enjoy our paradise. After lunch my dads cousin, his daughter and her boyfriend came over for coffee and cake and a nice chat for a few hours. Lovely to see them! 

My cousin, his mom and his kids drove back home this afternoon and arrived safely tonight. Nice that they have been able to spend time here when we are all down here! 

Tonight my family surprised me with presents to celebrate it’s my last day before I turn 55. Lol. Perfect reason to celebrate! Thank you for making me feel special and thank you for the lovely gifts! 🥰🥰🥰

Can’t believe it’s Thursday already. Where does time fly? One more day in our paradise – then we are heading back to the real world again. 

I went for my morning walk today again – a great way to start the day especially since it is not season to take a morning swim just yet. 

Another tradition we have started is to go to Kårehamns Fisk and have lunch during our spring visit – especially around my birthday. Love their fish soup! Packed with shrimps, white fish and clams along with veggies. Served with a nice bread and aioli. Mmmm. The whole family was able to come along – even my uncle! So – all eleven of us could enjoy lunch together! Special! 

Another lovely day. It rained a lot last night so I skipped the morning walk since it was very muddy outside. But, after breakfast we went for a longer walk, me and my parents, for almost an hour. Nice. 

Haven’t done much today other than resting and relaxing. Perfect midweek day. Time flies down here and soon it is time to drive back to the real world again. Or, as one of my colleagues said, maybe this is the real world and the other world we we just work and struggle is something else. Worth thinking about. 

Took a walk around the block by myself this morning since my hubby has returned home. A great way to start the day! 

After breakfast we decided to go grocery shopping in town and I drove my parents car for the first time. I did good and returned the car safely a few hours later. 

Bought a couple of wool blankets that were on sale in town. Wanted something new for our living room here in paradise. Perfect! 

Made a pasta – chicken -dish for dinner and tonight we have watched a movie together – “Fury” – on Netflix. It’s been raining all evening. Hopefully it will be better weather tomorrow – otherwise I will definitely skip my morning walk.
