What a strange weather we have had today. Sunshine, rain, hale, wind. And quite warm with almost 15C during the day.
We bought the boys these fly-eating plants a while back. One of the plants seems to be doing great – the other one might not make it much longer. We have placed them in a sunny window now to see if it will perk up. But they are quite cool.
I have spent the day taking another online course just to keep myself from stressing out over my dentist appointment tomorrow. Can’t wait for this trauma to be over. But, still a while to go.
Certificate
A friend of ours suggested a couple of online courses and I decided to give it a try. So, first I completed “Thrive in Trying Times Teach-Out” which was a free class with no grades or diploma. Then I completed this class – “Finding Purpose and Meaning In Life: Living for What Matters Most!” which included weekly assignments you needed to pass with 70% accuracy in order to pass and when completed you received this certificate. *so proud* Both classes held by Coursera (online courses & credentials from top educators) – and these two was from University of Michigan. Yeah!
Happy birthday, dear K! My oldest niece turning 21 today and of course we have the flag up. Tonight we have been playing online video games together – all 8 of us – to see each other for a bit. Can’t wait for things to get back to normal and we can hug each other again, see each other indoors and spend time together.
May 1st
I am so very glad the weather Gods were with us yesterday – even though they tried their best to freeze us out. Today it has been pouring down and we would not have been able to sit outdoors and celebrate. Our little robot lawn mover is working hard though – see him in the back of the photo.
Slept really poorly last night and woke up early. Don’t know why. I was tossing and turning and dreamt all sorts of things. Going to spend the day in my corner watching TV drinking tea while the rain pouring outside. We ate the last piece of the cake from yesterday – it was really delicious, thank you for leaving it for us. A strange day off.
