Set the alarm early today and left to walk to my first physio therapy session.
My therapist had made a 6 station strengthening exercises and I am supposed to go there two times per week and a follow up meeting in 3 weeks. Got back home in time for work – even managed to take a quick shower before it was time to start the computer.I more or less emptied the fridge and made a big “pyttipanna” for dinner. Just some lasagna-leftovers in the fridge to enjoy tomorrow.
It’s been really warm and nice outside today and the prognosis promises even better weather the rest of the week. Lovely.
Hotdogs
Today we took a 45 min walk before lunch and when we got back home we decided to light up the bbq again and we made hotdogs for lunch. Yum. Felt like ages ago since we had that. But, it was quite chilly outside so we ate in the kitchen.
A relaxing afternoon when everyone has been busy with their own. I’ve worked on my birthday puzzle – 900 blue pieces and 100 in other colors. Lol. It is really pretty though with Peter Pan flying with his friends over a city. And a good quality too which I like.
Now I have made a lasagna and in a minute I will make burgers and macaronies for the non-lasagna-eating son. The weekend went by way too quickly. Maybe we’ll finish it with a nice time in the spa.
Bbq
Weekend and time for weekend chores. That means cleaning, vacuuming, doing laundry and grocery shopping.
We picked up a burger on our way back from the store and after lunch my parents-in-law came and picked up the groceries we had bought for them.
We decided to bbq for dinner – first time this season out of many, I hope. It is still way too cold to have dinner outdoors so we still have that to look forward to. Now I’m going to cuddle up in my corner with a glass of red and enjoy a couple of episodes of Chicago Fire.
Hortensia
Friday again – this week has gone by really quickly. Second night with my new duvet – the cura blanket my husband gave me for my birthday. It weighs 7kg and is a challenge to handle, but so far so good. I will give it a week before I evaluate it.
This is the gorgeous hortensia my parents-in-law gave me. A white one. I hope I will be able to keep it alive and happy for a long time.
No appointments today other than that I bought some groceries for my parents. Me and my oldest delivered them on our walk this afternoon. We saw a heron bird on our stroll – amazing!
Flowers
I had an early appointment at 07.30 AM with a physiotherapist to see if he can help me get my knees back in shape. He gave me some hope and a new appointment for Monday morning.
A full day at work and it went really well. I had things to do all day.
Had an afternoon appointment with my other therapist – made good use of my lunch hour. Feels like I have a punch-ticket at the clinic. Lol. Anyway – we had a good session and another one scheduled next week. Might as well keep it up.
I have a lot of lovely flowers to enjoy! These ones were from my parents. Thank you!
Cake
A strange time to celebrate ones birthday – but we tried our best. My parents-in-law stopped by with a beautiful hortensia – thank you! Then my parents came over with a bouquet of yellow flowers and my nieces with presents. My husband and boys gave me this big box… We sat outside well apart from one another and enjoyed a delicious chocolate cake my husband bought. It was nice to see my family even though I couldn’t hug them.
I have also received a lot of greetings on line – thank you so much everyone! I feel much appreciated and loved. A nice birthday after all!
Back to work
First day back to my regular hours again. Fingers crossed I will last longer than last time. So far so good though. I have been busy and it felt pretty good to be able to assist.
Took a long lunch break and gave my youngest a ride to his appointment. Everything went ok.
Back home again I worked my last couple of hours and now we have just had our dinner. Spagetti bolognese. Now some corner-time before it is time to hug the pillow.
Hail
Boxing Monday. Last day off to enjoy this Easter. Tomorrow we go back to work again. After lunch me and my husband took a walk up to Fruängen to get some groceries and half way there it started to hail. Lol. So much for a nice stroll. But, it stopped almost as quickly as it started.
Now we have enjoyed a blueberry muffin and a cup of tea while watching “Homeland” and “Outlander”. My husband has helped the boys to do their income tax declarations and pay what they owed. Now all four of us have done right by the tax authorities this year. Good.
I love the forsythia flowers in bloom. So pretty.
Party-time
Easter day and a grey and a bit rainy day. My husband fired up a lot of branches we had in the garden and I took care of the indoor chores.
Tonight we were invited to an online Easter party – our friends had set up a room in Discord and we played Kahoot, Jackbox and met in a Jitsi Meet video room. 17 different cameras on line at the same time. Fun! I think we were like 25 friends all together. Aaah – I miss you guys! But this was kind of fun too!
Påskafton
Happy Easter everyone! At least this year all four of us will be together – even though I miss the rest of my family terribly. I was just reminded that our youngest didn’t celebrate Easter with us last year. I had completely forgotten that.
We had soup for lunch today and then we took an hour long walk. Got home and finished the last piece of the Easter cake with a cup of coffee / tea.
We decided to have the Easter smörgåsbord for dinner. I have taken down my puzzle which I finished last night and set the table in the living room to make dinner a bit extra special. Used the good china and decorated with Easter things. We will have the usual – eggs, salmon, meatballs, potatoes, herring but also spare ribs which my youngest loves. Trying to keep up the traditions even though things are different this year.
Happy Easter! Glad Påsk!
