A great start of the week with a lunch date with my niece! Lovely. We have found our favorite place to go to so why try something different? I absolutely love the goats cheese sallad and my niece prefers the caesar sallad. This photo was taken during our last visit there.

Going to start dinner in a bit – pork chops in the oven. I bought a steak and going to bake it in one piece covered with garlic butter and served with rise. I hope it will turn out ok.

Lovely Sunday bathing in sunshine inspired us to take a walk. Said and done. We strolled over to the local flower shop to get a birthday gift for my mother-in-law.

Later in the afternoon we packed ourselves in the car and went over to my parents-in-law for dinner and celebrations. She had prepared a delicious coq-au-vin for main course. Her sister was there too and we had remembered to bring the little pot-hand from my sister to her.

The weekend was over before we knew it and time to get ready for another working week.

Phew what a week. But now it’s Friday and after a late meeting that continued a few hours after work I met up with my husband at a restaurant in Fruängen to get some take out dinner and crash in our corners. Scampi with bulgur for me. Mmm.

Now a cup of tea in front of the tv waiting for “På spåret” to begin. I am so very tired and hope will be able to sleep tonight. Last night I was tossing and turning and didn’t get enough rest. Need to quit that.

Valentine’s Day – all hearts day – February 14th. These lovely roses were waiting for me when I got home. My husband had dinner on the table and the boys were home too. Lovely. I treated them donuts for afters. Yum.

I went for my yearly checkup today to make sure my birthmarks and liver spots are ok. My doctor made the evaluation that I was fine and don’t have to remove any of them to make sure. Yeah!

Today it almost felt like spring outside. A bit chilly but bright and sunny. The market was filled with flowers in sparkling colors. Lovely.

Today it’s the last day for the student helping us out at work. It is her time to get out in the world and study abroad for a semester. Her replacement started a few weeks back and I’m sure he will be great. All our students have been brilliant and a fantastic support. So much fun to see them grow with the responsibility and give them a good start in their working carrier. But I always feel sad when they leave and I will miss her terribly, just as I have with her predecessors.

Handball on the schedule tonight. Our team is grasping at straws trying to hang on to the highest league. If we don’t win the last couple of games we will be moved down one series. But, where there’s will there’s hope! Go Bajen!

(PS – we actually won! 31-28 – what a game! So glad we were there to cheer on our team!)

Long day at work. Getting organized slowly but surely. Before I know it I might be back to my usual self again.

Sweden is hosting the Alpine World Ski Championships and today they had gathered a lot of legends and former skiers. So much fun! They did a parallell slalom and the winner went thru to the next round. Pernilla Wiberg managed to defeat Anja Pärson – great race! Even Ingemar Stenmark participated – but lost unfortunately.

We had a family powwow tonight and paid the booking fee for our summer holiday. It’s going to be great!

New week .. new challenges .. The snow is melting away and the winter is on hold for now. I don’t mind. But it will most likely return before spring will find its way to us.

Short day today and I stayed to have lunch in town. So nice to sit down and relax for a minute.

So much going on in the next couple of weeks. One day at a time.

We’ve decided on a trip this summer – Rhodes here we come! My family together with my sister and her family and our parents. Lovely! It’s been ages since all 10 of us travelled abroad together. And we haven’t been to Rhodes since our honey-moon vacation back in 1995. Going to be great!

Been working on our big 1500 piece puzzle and we are very nearly done. We made great progress last night with my sisters family helping out. I love putting puzzles together but now we need the table back..
