Mello 2

The second part of the song contest. We decided to spend the weekend with our friends and booked an adventure weekend at Boda Borg in Karlskoga. 21 of us drove there Saturday morning and met up for lunch before it was time to start the games. I was in team with my sister and oldest son – going for the green and red quests (not really physical but more tricky). My husband teamed up with our youngest and their youngest cousin. Our team didn’t have a great first day – we only managed to solve 5 quests. Better luck tomorrow!

We had ordered take-away dinner (Indian or pizza) and booked a conference with a large screen for the Mello-evening. We had a great time all day!

Part 2: Göteborg
1. Samir & Viktor – Shuffla – finale
2. Ida Redig – Allting som vi sa
3. Jonas Gardell – Det finns en väg
4. Margaret – In My Cabana – 2nd chance
5. Stiko Per Larsson – Titta vi flyger
6. Mimi Werner – Songburning – 2nd chanse
7. LIAMOO – Last Breath – finale

Back again!

F is coming back home tonight for winter break! Yeah! Can’t believe it’s been 5 weeks of work since his last visit. It has passed by quickly. Now he’s back for a week and after that it’s only 5 weeks until Easter break.

Walking to the subway I pass this Maclaren-shop – if anyone needs a hint on a nice present for my special birthday .. this beauty is on the market for 3.5 MSEK. Like a small house, but what the heck. I’m worth it! Lol. (unfortunately I would probably not even be able to pay for the insurance.. )

New batteries

My mushroom lamps needed new batteries – and voilà – as good as new again. They are so pretty outside our house welcoming us home after work.

A very long exhausting day at work. Almost 16000 steps. And no errands – just moving things within the office. Amazing. Soaked in the spa for a bit after dinner to relax my sore body. I hope I’m going to sleep like a rock tonight – need to catch up on some sleep.

-10C ❄

Midweek. My sister shared this image and I thought it was spot on. Most of us have an “whatsape” bad habit nowadays – some people excluded.

It was really cold this morning and the bus took ages before it finally arrived. No long walk after work today – just a short one. Treated myself a special lunch when I got home – goulash soup and a “semla” for afters. Mmmmm. My son had Japanese soup and a doughnut.

Figures ?

This morning there was a power outage in the subway. I was lucky though because the power came back on as I arrived to the station but since no subways had left the station for quite a while I wasn’t the only passenger.. I hate traveling on such a crowded train.

We skipped the spa last night – but tonight we enjoyed it for a bit. It started to snow as we sat out there but it was quite nice anyway. I am so happy we bought the spa – it’s been wonderful!

A quiet evening watching “Hidden figures” with my husband. It is such a great movie – I love those true-story-based-movies. And this one I can really recommend!

-6C

This morning it was -6C when I went to work. And this evening it had dropped to -13C when I got back from the game. Brrrr.

Had lunch with a friend today who is on maternity leave. It was lovely to see her again and her little boy is so cute. However he didn’t fancy sitting down so we strolled around for an hour instead in the sunny weather, which was great too.

Tonight I have been with my parents cheering on our team in handball. We played towards Malmö tonight who is in second place in the series. And we won!!! 31-26. So nice! Just what we needed!

Day to rest

Yesterday we went to another yoga-class in the morning. We decided to give it another chance. This time we had a different instructor so the class was quite unlike the first one in some senses. Still chanting though.. But the stretching and exercises are doing good so we will probably continue. This yogastudio has drop-in classes which I like. No pressure.

Last night we had a great evening with our friends. They tried our spa and I had prepared a chili for dinner. Made some more plans for our trip to Scotland. Fun!

Today I have taken care of all the dishes from last night and now I have crashed in my corner and I am not sure I will move all day. Lol.

Mello 1

Time for the first part of the Melodifestivalen. The hosts this year are David Lindgren and Freddie Svensson. And we are hosting the first part tonight and both our friends-families are coming over for dinner.

Part 1: Karlstad
1. Sigrid Bernson – Patrick Swayze – 2nd chance
2. John Lundvik – My Turn – final
3. Renaida – All The Feels – 2nd chance
4. Edward Blom – Livet på en pinne
5. Kikki Danielsson – Osby Tennessee
6. Kamferdrops – Solen lever kvar hos dig
7. Benjamin Ingrosso – Dance You Off – final

Friday

Finally Friday again. But this week has actually gone by fairly quickly. One more week then my youngest is back again for winter break. Yeah!

Pizza-dinner tonight. Now a glas of red in front of the third episode of “Hard Sun” – a new series we have started to follow. It’s quite good. I like British series.

And now a whole weekend ahead – tomorrow we are having guests over. Sunday we have no plans. Perfect.

Fingers crossed

It was a terrible weather this morning – snowing sideways. But, not much else to do but going out there and get to work. Last 3 hrs of my tutor-time today. It’s been great and I have learned a lot. Perfect.

Our oldest had an important seminar to attend this afternoon – if he would have skipped it the punishment would have been to write a very long paper. He had an appointment at the hospital this morning so it was a bit uncertain if he would get there in time or not, but he made it. Puh.

This evening it had stopped snowing so we could enjoy our spa for a bit for the first time this week. Lovely. I’m sure I’ll sleep well tonight.
