A nice Easter break but without the sunshine. No more snow though and today I found the first snow drop in our garden. We went for a 3k walk along the coastline and it was quite nice.

I made a chocolate cake for Easter coffee and then we enjoyed our traditional smörgåsbord together with my aunt and uncle. It was really nice and we shared a lovely afternoon – evening together. Happy Easter!

Woke up in our paradise this morning and it had been snowing all night. So we have a winter wonderland to enjoy through the window. It is not cold though – around 0C/32F so we might dare to take a walk later but for now we are happy to sit inside and relax for a bit. Catching up and getting settled.

My sister w/ family are on their way down too right now to celebrate Easter together. A lovely weekend awaits!

Thursday morning and another visit to the hospital for some more blood tests for M. But after that we went home to finish packing and get ready to hit the roads.

The line with cars wasn’t too bad – we got stuck in Södertälje, Norrköping and Söderköping for maybe 30 min total. Then we stopped for dinner at Tindered. Big mistake. 60 min after ordering we still hadn’t been served our food and we were quite irritated and tired when we finally were served. So our quick stop for food ended up in a 1,5 hr break which, with the previous hold-ups, resulted in an 8 hr trip instead of 6-6,5. When we got down to Kalmar it started to snow and the last hour it was snowing and completely dark. But, we arrived safely to our paradise and could enjoy a chat, some tea and corner time before we went to bed.

Last day to work before it’s time for our Easter break. And – yeah – snow is disappearing! But, still -10C in the mornings but warming up nicely during the day.

Went grocery shopping when I got home and F came along. So nice to spend time with him. And he is so helpful and carries all the bags for me!

Now I have a whole week off work (well, 6 days.. ) and I am going to make the most of it and spend quality time with my family!

We have a new lady at work welcoming us as we enter from the street. She is lovely. Our entrance is really old with a niche in the wall along the stairs and it has been empty for as long as I can remember. So she was a nice addition.

Long day today. And very cold again. -10C this morning. Yesterday we received more snow. The weather forecast is promising sun for Easter which would be truly great even though it might be cold. I need some new sun-vitamins to regain energy.

A day off spent at the hospital with my youngest for his examination. Everything went perfectly well except maybe for my poor body which had to sit and wait all day. I did stroll around for a bit but not much to do or see there.

When we got back home my mother stopped for a quick visit. We had a nice chat and a coffee.

I made lasagna for dinner – something my youngest always longs for on his visits. Perfect food for left-overs too!

Time to change the clocks to summer time. I don’t have any problems with this – don’t mind getting up earlier since I can do everything else earlier too (lunch, get off work, dinner, go to bed.. ).

A sunny day today but I haven’t made an effort so far in taking a walk. M is over at his friends house playing games all afternoon / evening. F is relaxing getting ready for the appointment at the hospital tomorrow. A nice slow day with no musts or have-to’s – other than getting food in the table a few times. And tomorrow I have the day off to go with F to the doctors.

Got up early and made American pancakes for breakfast. Served with powder sugar and maple syrup. Mmm.

My husband and youngest went for a some errands this morning – getting a few new parts for his computer. And now they are spending the afternoon together building it. Fun!

I made a chocolate cake and we had a treat for afternoon coffee with whipped cream and fresh raspberries. Mmm..

Finally the day has come! When the snow has melted enough to see the penguins feet.. lol. No, when it is time to pick up our youngest again. Last break from school. Next time he will be moving back again! Can’t believe how quickly this year has gone by so far. And he is doing well down there having a good time! I am so happy for him! Anyway, the flight was on time and we were home before 10 PM. Perfect with the airport so close! And now we have 2 weeks together!

Went to work early today due to a closing and also my turn to open up the office. When I arrived it turned out the closing was postponed which was good in the sense that I now had time to see my niece for lunch. We haven’t met up for lunch in ages so that was a real treat!

Since I got in early I got off early and strolled a bit before I headed back home. The glas monument was lit up in a new color – light green. Felt very spring-like! I wonder which color they will choose next?

Picked up some thai-food on the way home since it was only me and M for dinner. Hubby had another activity with work tonight but this time he got home quite early so we could enjoy the spa for a bit. Lovely!
