Pyssel hos K – 19 feb 2018

En perfekt kväll med vårt härliga gäng. Jag bjöd på pasta med vegetarisk sås och efter en stund i spa:et så fikade vi och åt citronfromage med tropiska frukter och färska hallon.

Myskväll – bra för själen!  *känner-mig-tacksam*

Too quickly

Time goes by too quickly sometimes – already time to drop off my youngest at the airport again for another 5 weeks of school before Easter break. Can’t wait. He met up with his friends at the airport and was happy and ready for another period. I’m glad. Makes my life so much easier when he’s happy and content. He is growing up so fast and is becoming quite independent and secure in himself.

We stopped to get some groceries on the way back and now I’ve crashed in my corner cheering on our pride and joy facing Finland in the preliminary round in the hockey tournament in the Olympics. Would be nice if we could win this one!

PS! WE WON! Which gives us a ticket straight to the quarter final and do not have to play the eighth final since we won the group. Yeah!

Birthday party

Time to celebrate my little one’s birthday. Big 18. Allowed to do so many new things and I will be excluded from his life in some ways. I will need permission to access and or help him with his bank account, his medicine, his school work. I hope we have prepared him for the adult world but one never knows. Anyway, we have one more week to get ready since his actual birthday is next weekend. But since he is leaving tomorrow for his school in Belgium we gathered the family for an afternoon celebration! Everybody except my dad was able to make it. I bought two cakes in town yesterday and an almond wheat bread – didn’t have the energy to bake something myself.

F is building his own computer and his wish list consisted of two things – parts for this or money to buy parts for this. Lol. Soon he is ready to put it together. Still missing one or two things. But the parts are so expensive he can’t get all of them at once. But Xmas and his 18th helped a lot making progress.

Mello 3

Already time for the third round in the Melodifestivalen. Today held in Malmö. I hope the show will be better tonight – didn’t really care for the show last weekend. A bit too much of the host of the show, so to speak. Let’s hope he keeps his clothes on tonight.. 😉

Part 3: Malmö
1. Martin Almgren – A Bitter Lullaby – finale
2. Barbi Escobar – Stark
3. Moncho – Cuba Libre – 2nd chance
4. Jessica Andersson – Party Voice – finale
5. Kalle Moraeus & Orsa Spelmän – Min dröm
6. Dotter – Cry
7. Mendez – Everyday – 2nd chance

PS! We watched the show at our house together with my sis w/fam. They stayed on after the afternoon birthday celebrations. Fam E weren’t able to come. So we had dinner and time in the spa before we watched the show which was better than last week.

Olympics weekend awaits!

Finally Friday and some time on my hands to catch up on all the lovely sports I’ve been missing out on this week due to work. I’ve been trying to follow the live comments on the net but no live pictures so it is really not the same. This morning we woke up to Frida Hansdotter winning her first gold medal in slalom in the Olympics. So fun for her! And so well deserved!

Our hockey team is looking kind of wobbly even though they have won their first two games. I hope they will get their heads together for the more challenging opponents. Tomorrow morning I will hopefully be able to cheer on our ladies facing Finland in the quarter finals in hockey. Exciting!

I’ve been following the curling teams too and they are both doing great so far with only wins (I think). Yeah!

More medals

This morning our ladies competed in the 10k free cross country skiing and it was really exciting to follow. And our amazing Charlotte Kalla managed to get the silver medal!

Then it was time for the biathlon ladies to do the 15k individual and Hanna Öberg won gold! What a good start of the day!

A very busy at work so I decided to stay a late to finish. I like to be able to go home without having piles waiting for me in the morning. Nice to arrive to a clean desk and start fresh. After dinner we soaked in the spa for a bit. Lovely.

❤❤❤

Valentine’s Day and I had bought these jelly hearts for my boys. All three of them. And my husband gave me a lovely bouquet of tulips.

I prepared a special dinner with bbq ribs and fries and after dinner we all went over to Heron to enjoy the premier of “Black Panther” – the latest Marvel Studio-movie. It was very well produced and the boys loved it. I guess Marvel wanted to introduce the Black Panther a bit closer so they can involve him in their next huge Avengers movie.

No medals today in the Olympics for Sweden, but our sports was not really on todays schedule either. Tomorrow on the other hand.. then maybe maybe we have a chance for another medal.

Semlor

Today it is a national theme-day – “semmeldagen” – when we eat wheat buns filled with almond icing and whipped cream. Yum. And they are quite popular – I read somewhere that we eat 6 million of these goodies on the “semmeldagen” (we are 10 million people in this country).

Another gold medal today! Stina Nilsson won in ladies sprint classics in the cross country skiing. Yeah! Congrats to Stina!

Silver medal!

My youngest is home and lasagna is on his wishlist for what to eat while home. And I’m happy to assist, especially on a day like this when I get off work early and have some extra time on my hand.

First a quick visit to the hospital for blood tests for both my boys – now lasagna in the oven and the second machine with laundry is almost done.

Watching the summary of the winter olympics in PyeongChang – a second medal for Sweden (first a gold in skiathlon for Charlotte Kalla) and now a silver medal in biathlon achieved by Sebastian Samuelsson. Yeah!

Fun weekend

We spent the night in a room called “Motor” with a fun theme. We slept in holes in the wall and it was quite cozy! After breakfast it was time to start a new day filled with adventures and challenges and today we actually managed to solve, climb and crawl through all of the green quests (!!!), 5 of the red quests and 2 of the black ones (very physically challenging). Yeah! My husband, youngest son and youngest cousin did even better – they solved ALL of the quests and were rewarded with a Quest-Master t-shirt! Yeah!  Our friends formed 6 teams all together and one more team got Quest-Masters. Impressive!

Very tired after a long day we have now crashed in our corners after a thai-dinner and time in the spa. Oh – and Happy Birthday, dear mother-in-law! Hope you had a great day!
