It’s been snowing for days now. Some reports say we’ve received 40cm of snow. They cancelled the buses yesterday afternoon and they were still not running this morning. So, we had to walk to the subway. It was so gorgeous by the lake this morning – the world covered in white snow and it was so quiet – like if you’re in a padded room or something. Great start.

Both my boys had to stay home today – but in the afternoon the buses started running again. Hopefully everything will get back to normal again tomorrow.

What a day. Complete chaos in traffic. All buses cancelled in all Stockholm with suburbs. One ore two buses here and here did however run anyway. This photo was take early this morning but when I got back from work it had been snowing non-stop all day and now we have another 30 cm or so. A lot of snow to shovel. Puh.

Fingers crossed everyone will be able to get back home today. In one piece – unharmed.

The American election is completed and the States have a new president. Donald Trump. I have no words.

What a day. First couple of days of snow and I am already fed up. Lol. It’s going to be a long winter. It’s been snowing all day long and we (well – not me) actually had to sweep the driveway tonight. I got home really late from work and it was already done. Perfect.

This morning I had to wait almost
30 min for my bus to arrive. It wasn’t terribly cold but you get this freezing feeling inside all day after a start like that. Now time for my corner and another episode of “Dicte”.

It was so slippery outside this morning – that part of winter I don’t like. Looked like a skating-rink going to the bus stop. Quite a busy day at work sorting out a few problems and wrong deliveries.

And then a well-earned me-time getting a treatment by my naprapath. No needles this time. A perfect afternoon. Crashed in my corner now for a bit before it’s time to start dinner for the boys.

Sunday morning and snow all over. Winter came all at once. After a nice breakfast we decided to get busy. Two of our gamers needed new chairs so we went and bought them last night. Today we upgraded our youngest desk – his is a lot smaller than what he needs – so a visit to IKEA later we had fixed the problem. Still need to make a few changes to the boys rooms but then we’re done. One step at a time. We have so much to sort through – we have not gotten rid of a lot of things for different reasons. But we need to get it done. Boring but necessary.

The three days work of making the sloe sirup is completed. Finally time to pour the juice and enjoy a glass of home made juice. Mm.

Been a busy bee today – first we went grocery shopping, then I made lunch and finally I baked saffron bread – better have it done while there is still time. My youngest and husband switched the tires on the car – it’s still snow on the ground so I guess it was about time too.

A thought to all our loved ones today who are no longer with us.  Time to light a few candles and enjoy a moment of recollection.

A quiet day around the office with half the crew home taking the day off. But, extremely busy anyway. We got a lot done but I had to stay for a bit to finish. Feels good though to start the weekend with an empty (or almost empty) desk.

Went grocery shopping on the way home and I am making fish for dinner. And minute steak for the boys. Now time to relax and enjoy a couple of hours in my corner before I need to get busy again. Have a great Fredag!

Funny. You leave the city for a couple of days and when you return they have already put up Xmas-decorations. What happened? Fortunately they haven’t turned them on yet, just put them up to be prepared for Advent, I guess.

Very long day at work. Had to cover for my colleague and she works her long day on Thursdays so I got a lot of overtime today. Tomorrow is a very short day though so it was no problem. Did a lot of good today and felt quite pleased with myself going home.

The weather Gods were not kind this morning – over 15m/sec in the wind and 3C. I went to get the morning paper and I couldn’t tell if it was raining or if it was water from the ocean in the air due to the heavy wind.

After breakfast we packed our stuff and headed back to the city. The weather forecast had promised snow on the way and our car still has summer tires on so I was a bit nervous how it would go. But we came back home in one piece about 6,5-7 hrs later. It was snowing/raining a bit here and there but no snow on the ground before we arrived at home.

A great couple of days in paradise – good for the soul. Perfect with some quality time together even though half of the family wasn’t able to be with us.

I woke up early this morning – a heavy rain disturbed my beauty-sleep. It is quite cozy though to lay in bed listening to the weather outside. Wind and rainfall. It rained a few hours which allowed us to cuddled up in the sofa watching a movie in broad daylight. After lunch it stopped so then we went outdoors to get things ready for the winter. Empty the water barrels and put them away etc.

Tonight I made lasagna for dinner. It’s been a great couple of days in our paradise and I am very grateful that we went. Fingers crossed our drive back tomorrow will be a quick and safe one – the weather forecast predicts snow..
