We have spent a lovely afternoon enjoying my mothers “smörgåstårta” (and “plättar” for the youngsters) celebrating my f
athers birthday. A few things can beat her “smörgåstårta” and I even got an extra piece with me home.. mmm..
After lunch we had coffee and this kiwi decorated cake. Yum. Life is not so bad.
We have watched sports all day – it was Vasaloppet this morning for the 92nd time. 90 km of cross country skiing. Then our alpine skier Frida Hansdotter won the slalom world cup. Yeah! And as icing on the cake – Hammarby beat Djurgården in soccer (a derby between two Stockholm teams) and managed to go through to the next round in the Svenska cupen. Yeah!
The rest of the family is on their way back from a long weekend skiing. Time to get dinner ready to the hungry travelers. It will be good to have the family back together again.
