Awesome..

.. ending of a long week. We had prepared an afterwork event which we very rarely do. Nothing too fancy – some snacks, wpid-img_20150616_192134.jpgdifferent kinds of beer and wine. And a selection of pintxos from a restaurant near by (pintxos are mini-sandwiches eaten like finger food) to enjoy. I think everyone had a great time and the food was delicious and appreciated!

After the office they wanted to check out some bars and I went with them to the first one – Grand Escalier – and outdoor bar on the top of the city mall. It was a great place – “Grand Escalier is a genuine Gallic gem – both a restaurant, bar, lounge and courtyard that stands firmly on its own feet, while also forming part of the Sturegallerian experience” as it is described on their website. I had a cranberry juice to finish the evening.

Taco night

It is soimage hard to  come up with ideas what to eat. I need inspiration. Tacos was the answer I got when I called home to ask my boys what they wanted. Said and done.

Now an evening to relax in front of the tv. Maybe catch up on something recorded. A busy couple of days ahead – only fun things though! Yeah!

A-

Every four months I donate blood. Feels good to be able to imagecontribute. I think that everyone who is willing to receive blood should be willing to donate blood as well. A responsibility to honor. You never know if you need a donation and then it feels great to know that you have done your part of the equation.

I met up with a friend after work for coffee and the café had amazing pecan pies.. I couldn’t resist. I love all kinds of nuts but I don’t get to eat them that often since no one in my family like them. It was a great visit – we should definitely try to see each other more often!

Long day..

Lonwpid-img_20150813_124316.jpgg day at work today and two colleagues celebrated their birthdays so more cake for the people. Lol. I treated them a princess cake and a chocolate mousse cake. I think I have to quit this cake-diet while my weight is still manageable. Lol.

Tucked in my corner now trying to catch up a bit. A nice cup of tea to relax and then I am going to bed early tonight. Need to catch up on some sleep.

Pyssel hos K – 7 mar 2016

Mmm.

Birthday-party!

We have spent a lovely afternoon enjoying my mothers “smörgåstårta” (and “plättar” for the youngsters) celebrating my fimageathers birthday. A few things can beat her “smörgåstårta” and I even got an extra piece with me home.. mmm..

After lunch we had coffee and this kiwi decorated cake. Yum. Life is not so bad.

We have watched sports all day – it was Vasaloppet this morning for the 92nd time. 90 km of cross country skiing. Then our alpine skier Frida Hansdotter won the slalom world cup.  Yeah! And as icing on the cake – Hammarby beat Djurgården in soccer (a derby between two Stockholm teams) and managed to go through to the next round in the Svenska cupen. Yeah!

The rest of the family is on their way back from a long weekend skiing. Time to get dinner ready to the hungry travelers. It will be good to have the family back together again.

Second chance

A busy day today – first an early start to get my oldest to his English test in town in time. The buses don’t go so often maxresdefaultin the weekends so we had to get there early otherwise we would have been late. The test took about 5 hrs. I met up with him again when he was done and we went for a nice lunch together. Great to spend some quality time – just the two of us.

Tonight it is time for the last qualification round to the Melodifestivalen finale – in Halmstad this time – all the second chance contestants are dueling tonight;

Duel 1: Panetoz and Molly Pettersson Hammar
Duel 2: Albin & Mattias and Boris René
Duel 3: Isa and Saraha
Duel 4: Dolly Style and Samir & Viktor

And the four last finalists are:
Panetoz, Saraha, Boris René and Samir & Viktor

Not a busy day

Last day of the winter break – hardly no commuters out and almost nwpid-wp-1445685125796.jpgot a single call all day at work. A few fires to put out but other than that – nothing.

I picked up some thai food on the way home – a cozy Friday eve at home with my oldest son and some take-away food. And now a nice glas of red. Lovely.

The skiers seem to be having a good time even though the weather isn’t great up there. I hope they have a great weekend and come back home with big smiles on their faces.

New prince

Last night our crown princess gave birth to a little prince. They are going to name him Oscar Carl Olof and he will be the duke of Skåne. Grewpid-wp-1444236540539.jpgat news! He will be number three in the succession to the throne after his older sister and mother.

My family has been cut in half for a few days. Father and youngest have gone skiing for the weekend. Mother and oldest stayed home. I am saving my days for Easter break and M has his second English test on Saturday.

Have a great evening everyone!

Game day

imageHurried home after work to get my oldest and accompany him back to the city for a test in English. Part one. Part two will be hysterically early on Saturday morning. Urk.

Afterwards he went home and I headed off to “Bajenland” for a quick bite to eat before the handball game. The game wasn’t all that great – I’ve seen better – but we managed to get two important points towards Drott and climbed a few steps in the chart. 30-26 was the final score but it was pretty even until the last couple of minutes.
