Easter week

In a couple of days it is time to celebrate Easter. Gather the imagefamily around a lovely feast of Easter treats. I have started to build a pile in the living room – a habit of mine – with things we need to bring. I find it easier to remember everything if I can put it together as it goes.

Tonight the boys and their cousin are attending one of the mandatory trainings on their way to get their drivers licenses. One mandatory training left after that. Plus a lot of driving practice. And a written test in the end.

Vårdagjämning

Day of spring equinimageox – vårdagjämning – and the snow came back last night… Oh well. One step back again. But, it is getting warmer every day. And the days are getting longer and longer. There is still hope even with the snowy setback.

My oldest just sent in his application to the Royal Institute of Technology – KTH. Wow. Fingers crossed he will be accepted. Can’t believe he is graduating in a couple of months. When I was his age I graduated from highschool in sunny California but that was 29 years ago. Where did all those years go?

Saturday morning

Saturday morning and not able to sleep. Oh well. A cozy start in my corner with some breakfast is nice too. Still froswpid-img_20140501_111322.jpgt outside in the mornings so only a few flowers have dared to show themselves in the garden. A couple of snowdrops in bloom but that’s about it.

The indoor championships in athletics has started so even though it is early there is plenty to enjoy on the tv. And soon Vinterstudion will begin. I’m not going anywhere yet.. Have a great Saturday!

Me-time

What a week but now it is Friday and I had some me-time plannimageed after work. A well needed naprapath-treatment to enjoy. A perfect ending of a busy week.

When I got home dinner was on the table and now I am tucked in my corner with a glass of red (Californian Zinfandel of course..). Not too bad.

And no plans all weekend. That doesn’t happen too often. Wow. Life is not so bad.

Thursday

Puh what a day. I need a break. Just crashed in my corner with last nights episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” .. managed wpid-wp-1416332588331.jpegto watch 57 whole minutes before the recording ended.. then I managed to figure out a re-run will be sent on Sunday.. then I programmed a new recording.. then maybe I will be able to see the last 2 minutes of my favorite show after all. Oh, I hate failed recordings – talk about super-disappointment!

Soon soon we will enjoy this spectacular amazing sunset. That is a real big carrot to look forward to.

Paraffin treatment

Mid-weeimagek. Had to put in a couple of extra hours today but that was fine. Extra hours on my time account to use for time off.

This morning the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Great start!

Had booked a special treatment for myself late this afternoon. I have been walking so much lately my feet are tired and sore.So  I decided to try something I have never tried before – a paraffin treatment. The feet get soaked in warm paraffin and left to just get soft and warm wrapped in towels for a bit. It was really easy to remove – it just came off like a cover – and then I was given a lovely foot massage. Mmm. Now I am walking on clouds.

Soccer

Hammarby managed to win over the Stockholm-team Djurgården last week and therefor advanced in Shif aikvenska Cupen in soccer. Tonight they are facing another
Stockholm-team (AIK) and they are up for a real challenge. Fingers crossed they will make it and that the result on this image (borrowed from YouTube) will come true by the end of the game!

Come on – cheer on the right team now! Go Bajen!

PS! Hammarby managed to win! 1-1 after full time and still 1-1 after 2×15 min. So then it was time for the penalty shoot-out with 5 penalty kicks each. Hammarby won them 4-2. Yeah!

Treatment day

New week – new challenges. First a busy morning at the office. Then a 3,5 hr visit to the hospital for another treatment. Puh. Doewpid-wp-1443460079677.jpgsn’t really work miracles for my sore back but that is another issue.

Got back home – made dinner – didn’t have time to make the lasagna that I had planned to so we made something else. After dinner I made the lasagna so the boys can enjoy it tomorrow instead. I’m such a good mom! 🙂

Another game-day

This morning we all slept in for at bit. Two nights in a row in bedimage really late needed required some extra hours sleep. I woke up really early (as usually) but managed to fall back asleep again for another couple of hours and got up at 09.30.

Someone ate all the groceries again so we needed to go shopping… I didn’t mind the grocery shopping before but the last couple of years I have lacked inspiration and it is hard to figure out what to get and make cooking fun. I guess with our circumstances it is not so surprising, really.

Tonight I have been to see another game of handball with my parents. An even game to begin with, then Eskilstuna ran away from us with a 4-5 goals but we almost managed to catch up again before they killed the game the last couple of minutes and won 34-30. Bummer. Oh well.

Mello – finale

Time to pick the winner to represent Sweden in the Eurovision melodifesitvalen16in May. m. Slightly tricky this year. No obvious winner – last year was easier.
