Last couple of days before some well-earned Xmas time off. A bit crazy at work since everyone is eager to get everything done before the holidays.  But, eventually we will get there.

Took a walk home today since I got off early and by doing that I had completed my step-goal for the day before I got home. Perfect. Now I can sit down and relax with a good conscience. But, first, I need to get some stuff done around the house .

 

What a great day we had yesterday in the Old Town strolling around looking at the Christmas fair and just spending time together.

Today it is time to light the 4th candle and Xmas is really getting closer. I have fry dipped the ham with egg and breadcrumbs – we are going to enjoy it tonight for dinner but then save if for Xmas. We have also baked ginger bread cookies and decorated them. Now time to relax and enjoy a coffee – soon it is time for some real fun – Tre Kronor facing Finland today in the Channel One Cup tournament. Go Sweden!

A grey warm Saturday – reminds me a lot of Midsummer.. lol . Tucked in my corner with my coffee watching Musikhjälpen and waiting for Vinterstudion to start on TV.

This afternoon I am going into town with my mom and sis to the Christmas fair in the Old Town. Then grab some dinner before it is time to go to Stadsteatern and enjoy my moms birthday present – we are going to see the theater “Cabaret” with Sarah Dawn Finer in the lead. Can’t wait.

Friday again and a good week in many ways. Some good news. Got a lot done at work. And my boys managed to complete another semester with flying colors. So proud. Treated myself some me-time – perfect ending of a busy week.

Now tucked in my corner to relax and enjoy an episode of “På spåret”. A busy weekend ahead with a lot of things planned. Xmas next week. Still stuff to get organized and completed. But, I’m on it.

The other day when I was going home from work I saw this ad in the subway about donating money to WaterAid and their foundation that is helping people get clean water. Apparently 1400 kids die every day after drinking unsafe water. Terrible.

So, I donated 100kr to their swish-account and today I received a gift certificate with a thank you note. Felt pretty good.

Wednesday – mid week. Short day. Took a nice 3k-walk after work to go and see the huge Xmas-tree they put up in front of the royal castle every year. It is one of the largest decorated Xmas-trees in the world (I read in an article that is was 37m (120feet) but I doubt this year’s edition is that high). However, it is not just one Xmas tree – they have put it together using several Xmas-trees. Pretty smart.

As you can see it is not the best weather today. Quite cold and windy, no snow and very cloudy. My walk was freezing and now I am going to run a bath. Mmm. Lovely.

My youngest deserved an extra special treat so I made him “plättar” (tiny pancakes) for breakfast. He was happy. 🙂

An extremely busy day at work and then I missed the bus going home. I hate it when I have to wait 30 min for the next one. Especially at this time of year. A couple of months ago I would have walked the last kilometers but now it is completely dark and freezing so it is not really an option. Oh well.

Monday and freezingly cold outside. -6C this morning so an extra lair of clothing was not in the way. No need for the winter boots yet and the forecast has promised warmer weather again so this was just another teaser.

Going to go to Tumba in a minute to enjoy a Lucia parade after all. Don’t know anyone in the parade but it is my nieces old school so she will know a few of the singers. Can’t wait. These parades are so very emotional and pretty usually. Give you peace and serenity and your soul some comfort. Lovely.

Today it is the third of advent and time to light another candle. It is also December 13th which is the day of Lucia. However, my niece has changed school so she is not singing in a Lucia-choir this year. At least not one that I will be able to enjoy live. I will, however, enjoy her Xmas dance show this afternoon. Can’t wait.

This morning it was quite cold outside with a couple of degrees below 0C. Now snow but snow crystals covering the garden and the sky is all white covered with clouds. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Saturday.. a day to relax and get new energy. Catching up on stuff around the house.

In the afternoon me and my mother went to see my youngest niece and her team gymnastics group doing their Xmas show. She is really a good gymnast and it is always fun to see her do her routines. Proud auntie!
