Today it is my parents 49th wedding anniversary. They were married in the same church as me and my husband. Only we married 29 years later – Oct 7th 1995.

Today has been a very sunny and nice day – but it was only 5C this morning so fall is definitely on its way.

Happy anniversary, mom & dad!

Short day today – and the sun was shining on my way home. Had a nice lunch before I left the city.

If my grandpa would be alive we would have celebrated his 107th birthday today. Happy birthday, where ever you are!

I often look at this photo and think back on that day – when my grandpa met with my oldest (maybe for the first time). It was such a special day – still makes me smile. I wonder what grandpa would say if he would see him today – tall, with beard and long hair. Lol. Quite handsome if you ask me.

Today it is my sister from my host family’s birthday. Happy birthday, Nic! Swedish flag celebration for you today! Wish I could come over and celebrate your day with you but I will be there in my thought and mind.

Busy day today – all invoices sent out and our lunch meeting went according to plan. I had a parmesan baked salmon for lunch – it was so delicious!

Now some corner time – my back has not been cooperating at all today. Need to get back into my good habits and do my exercises again. Tried this morning – didn’t work at all.. Something is definitely wrong back there.

New week – new challenges!

Managed to get through the last pile of invoices. I don’t know why they took so long this time. Now they just need approval and then they are ready to be sent out. Yeah!

A busy week ahead – much to look forward to! Just need to get some energy back and stop being so tired all the time.

We had a fantastic evening last night – it was just perfect with great friends, delicious food and wine. And no kids. We usually never ever see each other without our children but this was a special occasion. And it was so nice. My sister and brother-in-law had prepared such a great dinner accompanied with the nice bottles of wine they received for their birthdays.

It started to rain and thunder last night and it’s been going on all night. Now a quiet Sunday ahead – no plans other than enjoying the day off listening to the rain outside. The thunder has stopped but it is still raining pretty hard.

Saturday morning – woke up with a terrible back pain. Tried to un-tie the knot with some slow stretching but after a while I switched it for my acupressure mat instead. That helped some.

Went to the garden center to pick up a few things for the fall decorations. My sis has put a solar cell lamp in a flowerpot outside their front door. I really liked that idea so I bought one of those lamps too. Hopefully our front side of the house has enough sunlight for the lamp to gather energy to shine. We’ll see tonight when we come back home from the dinner we are invited to at my sisters.

Friday – and the world was gone this morning. It was so foggy I could hardy see the house next door. But it soon cleared up and the day has been a mix of sunshine and rain.

Bought a great sirloin steak for dinner but it didn’t turn out as amazing as I would have liked it to. Oh well.

A glass of rosé and a bag of crisps.. time for Fredagsmys!

A long day today – with a couple of hours over-time –  going home was a treat in the lovely weather. Tired after the long work day but also very pleased with a good days work.

No rain today – and still quite warm outside. And tomorrow it is Friday and a whole weekend ahead with some fun plans to look forward to! Yeah!

September arrived and it’s been raining ever since.. Lol. Fall arrived from one day to the next. I’ve been wearing my wellies and raincoat today – it was raining pretty bad this morning

After work I went to get a check up on my birthmarks – I’ve been recommended to do so every other year. Good news – none had to be removed. All clear. Yeah!

Today we switched to wintertime in our switchboard at work which means fall is here and we work one more hour per day than what we do during the summer months. So after my first really long day in quite a while I crashed in a nice bath for a while. Lovely.

Now I’m tucked in my corner with my computer, coffee and Idol on tv. The first round completed – now they are choosing who is going through to the weekly competitions.
