Day of rest
Sunday and no plans .. lovely to be able to wake up and have a blank day ahead. After a nice breakfast I decided to continue my cleaning-the-house-project that I started yesterday when I vacuumed, swept floors and changed some curtains.
Today I have cleaned all the windows downstairs, done some laundry and bought groceries. Now I have put my feet up for a bit for a nice latte and a treat. And I also bought a nice bouquet of roses in the store. So nice with fresh flowers in the living room – haven’t had that in quite a while.
Have a great Sunday!
Time to celebrate
The youngest member of the family is now a teenager and of course that is a great reason to celebrate!
We had a lovely afternoon enjoying a lilac princess-cake outside in the sun chatting and catching up.
We ended up spending the entire evening and had a great time playing buzz-games all night. Thank you for a great day!
Time for fredagsmys..
What a week but finally it was Friday and also my long needed treatment with my naprapath after work. I am so very grateful it is considered healthcare and paid by my work as a benefit. And that I have found this amazing person who understands my back issues and manages to help me in a great way. It is such a treat to be able to see the same person each time in order to get a long-term treatment and build up and maintain the progress my poor back and neck problems need.
Now some corner time with some Friday goodies – a glas of red and some cheeses. Yum. Because I’m worth it.
Exhibition
Today and the next couple of days there is an exhibition in Kungsträdgården about 30 human rights – everyone can make a difference. 30 senior high schools have been invited to each decorate a cube covering one human rights-theme each.
My oldest sons school participated in the project and their cube #22 represented “The right to human dignity”. The project is run by Raoul Wallenberg Academy together with Friends.
Go and take a look if you have the time!
Pole vault record
A very busy day at work – got in really early to finish what I didn’t have time to do last night. Now it’s done!
When going home, I took a nice walk back from the subway and came back just in time to watch Angelica set a new Nordic record in pole vault in the world champion-ships in athletics. 4,70m. She got 4th place. What a girl! She might have a good chance in the olympics next year!
Have a great mid week!
Spider
This little friend lives outside our bedroom window and greets me every morning when I open the blind.
Today has been a very hectic day at work and I had to stay late. Missed the bus in Fruängen so I took a stroll home. Not very quickly though – my back was very tired for some reason. Longing of my treatment on Friday.
Congratulations to my old classmate who today accepted the job as head coach to Tre Kronor! What a challenge! Good luck, Rikard! I’m impressed!
Shrimp sandwich
A full day at the hospital so I treated myself a shrimp sandwich for lunch. And a latte. It was possibly the last day at the children’s department. Next time my oldest will be seeing the adult’s department. Feels a bit strange. My kids are growing up so fast.
Tonight we have an important soccer game – a derby. Oh I wish we will manage to get our game together and win. We started out so strong in this highest division, but we are struggling a bit now to be honest. Fingers crossed!
Breakfast and Kirstie
Sunday morning and I am enjoying a couple of Kirstie Allsopp’s shows on TV and having my breakfast. She is on BBC Lifestyle and her shows are about cooking, design, tips and tricks around the house, fun ideas on how to furnish and things to do. And she speaks with a great British accent – can’t be wrong, right?
We completed half of the hedge yesterday – my husband using the hedge trimmer and me using the rake. Going to try and gather enough energy to finish the work today. It looks so much better when cut and sorted.
Yesterday I managed to fit in a long walk around the forrest to see if I could find some chanterelles or funnel chanterelles but no luck. Well, I found 1.. lol
The forest was gorgeous though with all the heather in bloom. And I reached my walking goal and exceeded 10.000 steps. I actually did 14.000 steps. Yeah!
Saturday morning
What a morning – almost a clear blue sky and the sun is shining. I am enjoying a quiet breakfast waiting for the rest of the house to wake up. My oldest is up, of course.
A whole weekend with no plans – just some ideas of things that would be great if we could do. Such as cutting the hedge. Buy groceries. Study. Go to the mall and run some errands.
Me and a couple of friends are organizing a class reunion next month and I am now getting in touch with friends from way back. It will be great to see them again and catch up. This is the third reunion I am part of organizing – we had the first one back in 1995 – then 2005 – and now 2015.
Have a great weekend!
