This has been a very good day. No problems (for me) with buses or subways. A good day at work. Commutation worked on the way home too. Saw my naprapath for a treatment – he worked miracles (as usual) with my back, neck, shoulders and sore hand.
My youngest is enjoying his practice and my oldest had a sports day with his school playing table tennis for a bit. Now while my spouse put on his taxi-dad cap I took a hot bath and relaxed my muscles some more. Perfect after a massage!
More days like this, pls.
Long day
Days like this I long for my paradise. Where my family come together, get some peace and quiet, new energy. To sit in my swing chair, read a good book or just enjoy the view. Not too far off now – Easter only a few weeks away.
Can’t wait.

Mums! Tack för en perfekt kväll!
Ski-day
Usually the Vasaloppet is held the first Sunday of March, but since Sweden was the host for the Cross Country World Championships last week they postponed this years edition of Vasaloppet one week. I hope they will manage to finish the race – it is so warm today (11C here in Stockholm) and the tracks are so wet on some parts. 15800 participants will ski 90 km.
My husband and youngest son went up really early today to travel 2,5 hrs by bus to Romme for a day in the slopes together. I hope they will have a great day and that they too will get some sunshine. I went out through our back door today for the first time since before the winter started. Found some snow drops in bloom and also a lot of other flowers on their way up but not in bloom yet. Spring is getting closer! Soon I can enjoy my coffee outside!
Second chance!
Today it is time for the competitors given a second chance in the music competition to see if they have got what it takes to get that ticket to the finale. 4 duells will result in 4 competitors getting that desirable ticket.
And the duellists are;
- Andreas Weise – Linus Svenning
- Hasse Andersson – Kristin Amparo
- Dolly Style – Dinah Nah
- Behrang Miri feat. Victor Crone – Samir & Viktor
And the 4 winners are ; Linus Svenning, Hasse Andersson, Dinah Nah and Samir & Viktor
Mom and dad treated us a lovely birthday-party to celebrate dad and right before we got there our team Hammarby managed to beat AIK in a soccer game. The odds were 4,7 against HIFs chances so it was a great win! Need I say my dad was in a great spirit when we arrived..
Good Friday
European Athletics Indoor Championships – cheering on our long-jumper Michel Tornéus who just took a new Swedish record – 8.30m. Amazing.
And another Swede is also doing great – Otterling might get a medal too – fingers crossed!
My amazing mother-in-law is finally out of the hospital and tucked in her corner at home for the first time in over 3 months. Finally some good news!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Dad
Today it is a special day. It is my dads birthday. My parents have always been there for me – the rock in my life and they always have given me and my sister and our families support and love.
So – happy birthday, dad! You are a great dad and I hope you have had an amazing day – and we will see you on Saturday and celebrate you properly!
Busy busy
A short day at work usually means a very busy afternoon – today was no different. After a quick lunch in town I went home – picked up a box of wine on the way. Having guests over this weekend – good to be prepared.
Did a ton of laundry and also went through a couple of months worth of ironing.. Haven’t done any since before X-mas I think. But, I worked myself though it. Also switched the winter curtains to more spring-like ones. Lovely!
Dropped my youngest off at practice and went grocery shopping. 5 big bags of groceries later I came back home – unpacked and started dinner. Now I have crashed in my corner with a cup of tea and a miniature muffins. Because I deserve it.
25
25 years ago I went to M/S Dixie Queen for a dance-night out with my sister and her boyfriend and a bunch of friends in common. Among those friends I met my husband. He was friends with friends of mine but we had never met before. And now we have spent more than half of our lives together.
These lovely flowers were waiting for me when I came home today. They really gave me a sense of spring-feeling. My husband is enjoying some fancy chocolate that I brought with me home.
Back to the real world
The drive home yesterday was endless.. It took close to 10 hours due to really bad weather and heavy traffic. Not fun.
It was good to be back though – almost all snow was gone and today the sun has been shining for a little while before it started to rain.. I haven’t walked around our house yet so I don’t know if there are any flowers yet or not. But I can’t see any from our windows so maybe not.
