The women’s world championships in ice hockey has started – we lost the first game after overtime which gave us one point, then won the second game. We need to win the third one tonight to reach the quarter finals. Go girls! You can do it!
The championships are held here in Malmoe, Sweden this year.
Two short days left this week.. Lovely.
Aroma
A very rainy and windy Monday to start the week. My afternoon appointment got cancelled so I decided to give myself some me-time-de-lux and booked myself to an aroma massage after work.
It didn’t work miracles for my muscles like my naprapath treatments do, but it worked miracles for my mind and soul. I was able to relax and gather energy and walked out of there a new woman. A luxury well deserved after these last couple of weeks.
Daylight saving time
Today we switched to summer time. I like that. I don’t mind getting up early. And I really don’t mind having lunch or going home an hour earlier either. Or going to bed early. I adapt much easier to summer time than winter time.
It is a very grey Sunday with rain. A perfect day to crash in front of an episode or two of a tv series. And relax. Get new energy. Next week it is a short week since Easter is coming up. Only one trip to the hospital planned. Let’s hope it will not be more.
Delayed waffles and Black Adder!
Since I was “out-of-order” all Wednesday when it was the national waffles day, we decided to make up for it by having waffles today instead. So I made a huge stack and treated my boys a waffles lunch served with jam and whipped cream.
Then in the afternoon we met up with my sister, brother-in-law and parents to go and enjoy my dads birthday present – Svarte Orm (Black Adder) – the theatre show. We had a really good time together!
Afterwards we gathered here and had take-out-dinner with the teenagers (can’t really call them kids anymore). It was a good Saturday! Just what we needed!
Friday
An important day.. fingers crossed!
Thursday
Life can be a challenge sometimes. Then you just have to get up, gather new energy and try again. There is no other way. Find your strength in your near and dear ones. Appreciate what you have and stay positive.
If I close my eyes – I can see the sunset. Soon. Maybe even sit in my chair if it’s not too cold.
Sick
Stomach flue.. haven’t felt this sick in ages.
Couldn’t move for a whole day and food was not to even be considered.
Let’s hope I didn’t share this close-to-death-experience-bug with anyone else.
Sunshine
It was a lovely sunny day today. Yesterday it was raining and snowing and not pleasant at all. I hope the nice weather continuous tomorrow – then I have the afternoon off. Might enjoy lunch in town. Take a long walk. Sounds like a plan.
Going to crash in my corner now for a bit and catch up on some tv series we have recorded. One episode of “Jordskott” and one of “Stalker”.
Challenge
Sometimes life takes a different turn than you had hoped or expected. Gives you a challenge that can seem a bit overwhelming. Believing can be hard – especially when life seems a bit unfair.
I am an optimist but I am running out of patience. Can somebody please send me big portion of energy and happy thoughts – I need to be able to fly again!
Day after
After a really late night one would think I would be able to sleep in a bit. But no. The show last night was amazing. Thomas “Orup” Eriksson is such a great musician, entertainer, singer songwriter with a ton of pop hits through the years.
I had no expectations at all regarding the food – but all three courses amazed us all. They were fun, delicious, surprising and very tasty.
Might go and watch some team gymnastics today..
