My youngest is a happy son today – they have opened an American donut place in Skärholmen – DonkinDonuts – with extra color on everything. They opened their first place north from Stockholm a while back and this is their second, and it is right next to where we live.

So, one 6-pack of colorful goodies later we arrived back home and enjoyed them with some hot tea!
Hmm.. I wonder which kinds we will try next time!?

On the annual Fettisdagen in Sweden we eat these “semlor” with great joy and delight. It is a fluffy bun with cardamon flavor, filled with almond icing and whipped cream. Lid powdered with icing sugar.

Mmmm..

Monday again. What happened to the weekend? It was gone before I knew it. A friend of mine posted a pic of a great burger today and I totally blame him for my choice of lunch.. Lol. It was only a small burger though..

Spent a lovely hour or two with my parents whom I haven’t seen in ages. They stopped by with tickets for Thursday when we all are going to the indoor track&field gala in the Globen Arena. Can’t wait! Usually a very special evening!

Just updated our ad on Blocket (Swedish version of Ebay) – we are selling a pair of snowboard boots that are too small for us. We had two pairs of boots in the ad to begin with, but the other pair we sold a week ago or so. But, if anyone is interested – let me know! They are in mint condition!

A very sunny Sunday – might take another walk today. On my own because my husband is still sick. My oldest has also started to show some symptoms. Not great. I’m still ok though.

Last night I bought “semlor” (Shrovetide buns / cream buns) with me home after work. Next week it is the national Semla-day but I thought we should start a bit early this year. They have been sold for weeks already.

Friday today – my youngest has had a cold for about a week and yesterday my  hubby came home coughing and sneezing complaining about a sore throat. I hope the rest of us will be able to stay away from the germs. Don’t want to be sick when we are going skiing.

I bought myself a new book with sheet music – Ed Sheeran. I have fallen in love with a couple of his songs – “Photograph” – is one of them. “One” is another. The two songs are played over and over again during my trips back and forward to work.

My body aches today after the massage yesterday – my muscles really had to work hard even though my naprapath claimed he didn’t give my muscles a hard time. Lol. But it is a positive ache and I always feel great afterwards. I am doing some exercises too which of course add to the muscle ache. Got to be prepared for the week in Norway..

Great day today! Great weather and no problems in the traffic going to work! No cancelled busses or subways. Days when all those every-day-things work I like.

Extra bonus afternoon today – my appointment with my naprapath wasn’t cancelled! We have had to postpone the treatment 2 weeks in a row but not today! Yeah! Now my whole body is sore after all the muscles have been kneaded. A good muscle ache tomorrow to be expected, I assume.

Birthday celebration at the hospital tonight with my mother-in-law. It was a good visit!

I don’t treat myself a latte very often nowadays – made a promise to myself about a year ago to not buy any before I had lost several pounds. After I had reached my goal my crave for lattes had disappeared. Problem solved. But, after working for 12 hrs or so I felt I needed one for the road on the way home. It was delicious and a perfect way to end a long day.

Time to go hug the pillow – tomorrow is a new day!

It was really pretty when I left for work this morning – very dark and the moonlight was amazing. During the day it was a clear blue sky and I would have loved to enjoy the nice weather rather than spending the afternoon at the hospital (vaccination shots).

No taxi-mom duties tonight – might crash in my corner and enjoy some of the downhill skiing. The one good thing about the competition being held in the US – then we get to watch it during the evenings!
