Me-time

Finally somimagee me-time. It was just what I needed. It’s been crazy lately.

The city is really sparkling right now. I love the bridges on Kungsgatan with all the lights. Strolling through the city after work.

Broke up with Uno..

logoToday was the last day of my relationship with Uno – our switchboard program. It’s been a couple of years with ups and downs but for the most part we have gotten along quite well. Tele2 But, Uno broke up with our supplier of internet and phone system so we had no choice but to move our switchboard elsewhere.

So, my new partner is called Frank. I hope we will get along great and have many happy years ahead of us.

One big problem yet to be solved.. But I am working on it.

Bakdags!

Advent 2nd

imageAdvent 2nd. Time to light the second candle. Half way to Christmas.

Spent the morning in my corner relaxing and watching the junior championship finals in team gymnastics. Huddinge GF didn’t make it to the final but it was great to watch anyway. image

Then after lunch it was time to head over to Huddinge Gymnasiet and watch my niece perform in their Christmas dance show. She took part in 4 different performances and she did me proud!

New week tomorrow. 2,5 more. Then I have a couple of weeks off. Looking forward to that.

Grapes

Managed to sleep in a bit today.. Got home at 02.30 this morning so I guess I was a bit extra tired. It was completely imagehopeless to get a cab home – had to wait a long time for one.

When I got myself together we went to buy groceries. Haven’t filled up the shelves in a while so we bought quite a bit of stuff. They had amazing red grapes that I couldn’t resist. Nice to be set for a few days at least.

Been to the hospital all afternoon. Going back again tomorrow.

Christmas party

imageA nice ending of the week – Christmas party at work. I really enjoy organizing that – helps me keep my mind off of some things.

I think everyone enjoyed the evening – it is so nice to hang out and chat with everyone.

We all helped and managed to clean up after the party pretty good, but I still have a lot left to take care of Monday morning. I hope our cleaning lady won’t get a chock. Maybe I should have warned her – but I didn’t see her this morning since I had another doctors appointment and therefor was a bit late for work.

Breathe in.. breathe out..

One of those days. Need to find that extra energy so that I can be there for those who need me. I have been running aroundwpid-wp-1414846406890.jpeg all day and now I crashed in my corner for an hour before it is time to run some more.

At the motivation seminar the other day they said it was important to give a compliment every day and to let your family know you love them.

So I would like to say to my family – together we are strong and I love you all very much!

Parking problems..

imageCrazy day. Hurried home from work to pick up my youngest – hubby was kind enough to park the car by the subway so we could get to the hospital for the shots quick and easy.  But, when I got to the car I had been parked in. Took me 15 min to wiggle myself out. I was so angry I left a note on the other car. A very angry note. I don’t get that upset very often, fortunately. Takes a lot of energy. Energy I need for other things.

It went well at the hospital and we managed to get there on time. Tomorrow I am going there again – with my other son.. We paid my mother-in-law a visit too – good to combine things and nice to see her! She is making great progress!

Motivation

Today I was treated a special day – I wanted to attend a seminar and my employer agreed. So I choose to go to an event called “motivation day”. Sarah Dawn Finer was the host of imagethe day and presented the discoursers. She did a great job, as usual. I really like her.

First out was Paolo Roberto – the boxer/actor/publisher. Then a lady called Ann Askenberger from Frankling Covey. Paolo was really good talking about how to overcome your fear and to be creative but I was not too impressed by Ann. She was talking about “The 7 habits of highly effective people” but I thought she was kind of hard to follow.

After the lunch break, Jens Lind had his presentation and it was so very good. He is an amazing character and story teller. Then it was a guy called Stefan Hyttfors turn to speak – he was quite interesting –  he was speaker of the year last year – talking about creating your own future.

Then after a short break for coffee, a lady called Inger Hansson talked about a lot of well thought observations and I both laughed and cried through her performance. She was amazing to listen to and was really good at getting the audience attention.

Last out was Robert Gustafsson – he talked about his life and the importance of daring to open new doors and make life changing decisions.

imageSarah summed up a fantastic day by performing for us and sang her own song “Moving On” – very appropriate.

Outside the school Norra Latin across the street from the conference center they had placed the two rain deers from Sergels Torg. They looked very pretty in their new spot.

I have had a great day and I hope that I will be able to attend one of these motivation days again. It has given me a lot to think about and I do feel like I have new energy to face the world.

December

First day of the last month of this year. The city was really pretty this morning with all the lights – I especially love the “golden arcs”. The bridges got really pretty with all the lights onimage.

I only worked half a day today and it was already getting dark when I walked home. No snow yet – which is good I guess. But it is getting quite cold which means that a lot of homeless people and addicts are seeking shelter and a warm place in the subway and on the trains. They cause quite a mess sometimes and the security guards are quite busy clearing up all the mess. That part I don’t like..

Let December begin – and all that it involves ..
