Tonight the show takes place in Gothenburg and we have dinner at my sister’s house – just her and my family since everyone else had other things to do.
The first show was great – the hosts did their job well even though they have received some criticism about being a bit too outspoken. But, I think they were great. Shall be interesting to see how they hold up tonight.
The contestants tonight are a good mix. Fingers crossed the “right” songs go thru.
Part 2:
1. Nomi Tales – Funniest thing
2. SCHLAGERZ – Don Juan
3. Erik Segerstedt – Show me what love is – finale
4. Klara Hammarström – On and on and on – finale
5. Fredrik Lundman – The heart of a Swedish Cowboy
6. Kaliffa – Salute – run-off vote
Friday
What a week. I’m so tired. Have longed for the weekend since before last weekend. Lol. I would love to go down to our paradise for some away-time. Breathe some. But, it will have to wait until Easter. We have a big project at work starting next week and it will continue all the way thru mid April. So, I just need to get that done and then I can have some time to myself and to my family.
It was a couple of degrees below 0C this morning but this afternoon when I got back home again it was raining. Awful weather. Not very inspirational for a walk, but when I got back home I had taken about 8000 steps so that’s good, I guess.
Breakfast
I decided to have a coffee-free week which has gone great. Good to clear out some caffein from the system every now and then. I do, however, still drink tea and that has thein in it so I’m not sure how much good the week will do.
This week I have treated myself to a small glass of yoghurt when I have arrived to work. Topped with some cashew nuts and honey. Mmm. Nice to go with that tea I start my day with when I get to work.
Long day today but not much has happened. I prefer a very busy day to a very slow day. I hope there will be more things on tomorrow. Tonight we finished off some leftovers – I made a “pyttipanna” for me and hubby with various things. The boys had chicken and pork filet with fries. Not bad.
Short day
I’m a bit tired today so it was nice to have a short day and get home early. Hubby is away tonight at a work-thing so it’s only me and the boys for dinner.
All the news is about the shooting yesterday and it is hard to avoid all this horridness. I wonder when life will go back to some sort of normal again for the poor people involved and affected by the incident.
It’s a bit windy out but rather nice weather. All the snow is gone already – so much for winter being back. Still quite chilly though.
A sad day
Today we woke up to a snowy landscape – haven’t had snow in a while. It’s been snowing a bit all day but it is only covering the ground so far.
It is a sad day today – the worst massacre in modern time in Sweden. The shooting took place in a school and around ten people were killed. The shooter committed suicide after the deed. Also a lot of people were injured so the number of killed might increase. Terrible.
Picked up some grilled chicken on my way home from work. Haven’t had that in a while – it was really delicious! Served it with some rise. Now we are following the news on TV learning more about these horrible news.
Below zero again
This morning it was below zero and freezing outside when I went to work.
Not a very busy start of the week so I managed to get off a couple of minutes early.
Now I’ve enjoyed the last leftover from Saturday’s dinner (still yummy) and a nice cup of tea is waiting for my attention. These pretty carnations were a gift from our friends – love them. It’s a very pretty flower that I buy way too seldom.
Day to recover…
We had a great day yesterday – a lot of preparations but all fun an it turned out just the way I had hoped. I found this very pink fabric that I fell in love with – perfect for Mello! Very pink napkins to go with.
Then we made a whole bunch of starter snacks and had some fizz to start the evening.
We got in bed quite late and today will be a day to recover. And to tidy up and wash all the dirty dishes from yesterday. One plate at a time.. lol. Most of them already done though – perfect to fill up the dishwasher before you go to bed. Half the job done.
Now I’m going to relax and enjoy a lazy day in my corner as much as I can. Hopefully I will be as good as new tomorrow and ready for work.
Mello – 1
First out – Luleå! This years hosts are Keyyo and Edvin Törnblom – shall be interesting.
30 acts have been selected to compete in this year’s edition, and we will have five competitions prior to the Grand Final. The two top songs of each semi-final will automatically qualify for the Grand Final. The song on place 3 will go to the “run-off vote” round which will take place at the end of the fifth semi final, and an additional two acts will be given a place in the finale. The one of these five with the highest votes in the bag will automatically go to the final. The other four will be up for one last round of voting and one will go to the final. Complicated – always!
The final will take place at “Strawberry Arena” in Stockholm on the 8th of March.
We started up together with dinner at our house. Eleven of us was able to get together – fun! We had a great time and ended the evening with some boardgames and a lot of laughter.
