Good bye

This morning I went to the doctors for some more blood tests – the previous ones were not as good as they should so the doctor wanted to run some of the tests again.

Today we said our goodbyes to a dear old friend of the family – my mothers best friend. Their family have been a big part of our childhood and we share so many nice memories.

It was great to see them again even though the circumstances weren’t the best. The funeral was really nice, the weather was just perfect and we had a nice get-together afterwards with coffee and cake.

The funeral took place in Bromma kyrka which was built in 1160 and therefore one of the oldest buildings in Stockholm. I have never visited that church before and it was really pretty and well worth a visit. Now we are back home again relaxing before it is time to hug the pillow.

Tigers

A day to relax. Both my boys are home. I took a short walk – the weather was not great – and after lunch my parents came over for a coffee and chat, which was nice.

I have been working on my new jigsaw puzzle – this one has tigers on it so a lot of yellow / brown pieces to sort. I really like doing puzzles – they distract me from thinking about work or other things that tend to add stress. I am so thankful I have a whole week left at home to enjoy.

Finally

New week – new challenges. This afternoon my son was released from hospital – hopefully he will be able to recover at home and stay away from the clinic environment for a while.

I took a 3k walk this morning when the weather was still ok. This afternoon it started to get really windy and it rained for a bit too so I’m glad I took my walk when I did. I talked to my doctor and she prolonged my sick leave a week so I will have a chance to get some time to myself now once my son is out of danger. Good. I will start work next Wednesday again instead of this Wednesday.

Roses

My husband gave me three red roses for Valentine’s Day and they are really pretty and I hope they will last a long time.

Dropped our oldest off at his friends house on our way to the hospital. Then spent the entire afternoon keeping our youngest company. Tomorrow he might try to eat again. Fingers crossed. They will keep him in a couple of more days.

Had dinner in Heron going back home and now I’ve crashed in my corner with a glass of red. I’m really tired. I have two more days on my 100% sick leave. Then I will start working 50% from Wednesday and for the next 2 weeks before they will evaluate if this has helped.

Mello 3

Time for the third part of the Melodifestivalen. Tonight we are invited to my sister for dinner – originally we were supposed to be at ours but we decided to switch.

Going to visit our son in hospital during the afternoon together with my sister. His best friend will visit him too today which makes me very happy. Hopefully he can come back home early next week.

Part 3: Luleå
1. Mariette – Shout it out – finale
2. Albert Johnsén – Livet börjar nu
3. Drängarna – Piga och dräng – 2nd chance
4. Amanda Aasa – Late
5. Anis Don Demina – Vem är som oss – 2nd chance
6. Faith Kakembo – Crying Rivers
7. Mohombi – Winners – finale

Alla hjärtan ❤❤❤

Valentine’s day. I slept in a bit and took a slow morning at home working on my jigsaw puzzle. Then I went into town to have lunch with an old friend. We had a really nice chat and enjoyed some sushi and a coffee after. After that I took the subway/bus to go to the hospital again. My mother came to visit for a bit which was so nice of her!

My husband came after work and we stayed for a while before we left to go home and take care of our older son and have dinner. He brought me some red roses for Valentine’s – lovely!

Evening fun

This morning I left the car at home and took bus – subway – bus – bus to get to the hospital. In the afternoon my parents-in-law came to visit which was very nice. We had an after-work event today so I took a walk towards the office and then the subway the last cuple of stations.

We take turns with the AW-arrangements and this time it was my team in charge. I had helped up to last week but now my superteam took over and let me be a guest. First we arranged flowers and made Valentine-cards, then we went bowling for an hour and then we enjoyed an Italian buffet at the office with a quiz afterwards to finish the evening. I had a super-nice time and felt a lot of support from my colleagues.

Crossword

A good crossword puzzle is excellent when you want something to do while waiting for the time to pass. I bought this magazine with a lot of different kinds of puzzles in which will keep me busy for quite a while.

Kept my youngest company for 8 hrs today – I think he appreciated it. No news really but they are doing all sorts of tests to be sure what has happened and how to proceed. He is a trooper but not very happy about his situation. We’ve talked, played Yatzy, watched TV and played on his new game his dad brought him. New day tomorrow.

Lake

I took a walk by the lake today. Not very long though – only about 2,5k. I was gone for about 30 min. It started to rain/snow a bit but not too bad.

After lunch I took my yougest to his appointment at the hospital and they decided to keep him there for a while. Will know more tomorrow. He is such a brave young man though and I feel ok leaving him by himself. I will go back in the morning.

Rainy Monday

Monday again and a new week ahead. A week to focus on me-time and doing things for myself. Today I had an appointment to see if I can set my priorities straight and focus on the right things. It was a good meeting and I will see her again next week.

Took a quick walk in the rain – I will try to take walks every day and get some pulse up. Not just stroll but walk in a tempo. Hopefully it will build up some new energy.

Now we have had a nice dinner together – I made a casserole with rise and shoulder of pork. It turned out pretty good.
Oh – and my parents didn’t get affected by the storm traveling back from Finland last night. Thank God.
